I loved those 90s years. In 1995 I married my grunge man. I always loved his torn jeans & Flannel shirts

We will never lose Eddie. His music has spoken to my heart throughout my life, and many times over. I have many times reflected on the lyrics of many songs. I have laughed and rocked, and many times came to terms with my hurt and pain through his words, his beautiful and comforting tone has always been there leading me thru inconsolable grief. While I cried, Eddie so many times was the Angel who guided my heart back into sync with my head. His music taught me to focus up, and to process life on life's terms. Only because while I swam thru my river of heart break and tears, there was a message. And, only Eddie's voice could deliver the message in the lyrics wriitten. In a way, it helped me to breath thru the pain and focus on the fact that I could heal in spite of life's challenges and the unimaginable pain my heart many times endured. Thank you Eddie for holding my hand and walking me thru, such a life. You will always be a part of me. I will take all of what you give, what you've taught me of life, and your compassion to the grave. You are an exceptional person with a voice of an angel and unwavering understanding of the emotional rollercoaster, we as human beings must endure thru our development. You've taken notice of and towards the human experience. The lyrics you have forged and presented to us all, with such a passion to what is also happening around us all, in this world. Your attention and perception is not so clear to many others. It is a gift that many people do not posess. Thank you for sharing your gift, with not just myself, but the world. Thank you for your dedication to the music, and teaching us all to leave behind the negative and walk forward thru life's challenges taking only the positive with you. But, to embrace every smile, every tear, and every beautiful moment with gratitude and appreciation. Life is too short for resentments, regret, and the fear of death. Live and Love you always. You were the big brother I never had. Ty

If you watch some of the video footage from when Meatloaf collapsed on stage, you can see that it takes a bit for what just happened to register in the minds of the crowd. The reaction is not immediate and many people seem to be wondering if it's actually part of the show or what.

All said and done, Generation X-ers were absolutely mighty, and having lived through the 1990s, I can confirm it was the last great decade. All the Gen Z zombie kids staring at their phones... you suck and don't even notice. It's sad. Thanks to all you guys who made my teenage years sing! Thanks so much.

I really want to know why people arent able to write great songs after 30. I know there's exceptions, but cmon! Everyone's first few albums are always the best, and then they can't write a great song to save their life! Why is that!?

This word notion that people have that Eddie is the whole band, that without Ed the others wouldn't be anything. Well I can out-gatekeep that. The only reason Jeff & Stone are there is Andy. The only reason Temple of the Dog existed was Andy. Chris Cornell's room mate wasn't Ed, it was Andy. Andy was the nexus of everything - singing to a sleeping Kurt, rooming with Chris, being the second foil to Jeff & Stone (after Mark in Green River) Ed isn't Pearl Jam - he's 20% of the band. He's an important part but he's sure not the whole story. It started long before him...
