Luke, what are the "leggings(?)" that you guys wear around your lower legs/shins? They look like "snake leggings," but I'm not sure what they really are and what they are for. Are they simply protection for your shins when crawling around in the dirt & rock?

Hi there @bobvines00 the things Andrew and I are wearing on our legs in video are called snake gaiters. Helps protect against the off chance off getting bitten by a snake whilst out bashing around in the bush, not knowing what's under your feet half the time. There are many different types, some that only offer snake resistance. Best to get a proper pair of gaiters that offer proper snake protection. Generally leather ones or kevlar inserted like the camo ones I use. A good piece of mind to wear during this time of the year especially. Best of luck and happy hunting mate👍⛏️

So jealous! I’m in the US in New Hampshire, it was originally being settled in the mid 1600’s so lots of colonial coins, shoe buckles, spectacle buckles and buttons, very rare but sometimes gold coins but the only gold here is in a few glacial streams and is flake sized at best!😢

Hi there @mikelacey9753 you have some absolutely stunning old history over there to find. I am jealous also! I love my coin and relic hunting and watch plenty of American youtubers digging up really cool finds over there👌 The gold here in Victoria, Australia is some of the best in the world though, so no complaints here. 34:50 Am I the only person who washes and pans out everything from a hole I get a nugget from? You usually find where ever there's even a picker there's a LOT of fines loosened over time, even just the dirt he was brushing off while walking around would have had gold in it!
