My 15 yo old daughter passed away 7/28/24 from aplastic aniema. She had it for 10 months that's how fast it took her. She was quarantined couldnt go to school or go anywhere. She needed blood transfusion 2/3 times a week and when she would get sick or catch a fever she would be in the hospitals for months. so i couldn't work. I was a single mom with three teens girl's. My transmission on my car went out. It was hard. She needed a bone marrow transplant but, her sisters and I were a low match. They found her a donar from jermany. she needed chemo and radation she lost her hair, was weak, nauseus, loss of appetite and no taste her first transplant failed. They used my bone marrow the sec time her sec chemo and radiation was way worse it took every single energy from her. She could barkey get up to use the bathroom. She got mucusitious where she had to pee standing up she would scream of agony. At this point she was fusterated and lost hope n just continued to pray she had a feeling she wasn't going to make it. She got a virus, a fungal infection in her lungs and two bacteria infections. She couldnt breath on her own. she was on life support and passed away.

Great job, coach. Your perspective is amazing. Yes, you are incredibly lucky to know the people at Nebraska Medicine, but do you realize how incredibly lucky they are to know YOU?

This is not exactly true, Jim knew that she had cognitive tissue disorder, it caused her to have a enlargement in her aorta.. she had regular scans of her aorta and heart. I remember when she had talked to Jim about her visits and scans over the 21 years I was with her father, before he passed away

Mine started with hypoglycemia in grade school…. Got steadily worse over the years - no pain, except for one instance (which was *awful.)*…. Then needed an endoscopic ultrasound to rule out the possibility of an *Insulinoma.* Bad hypos every day - down in the thirties once or twice. Turned out I had CP. that was in the late nineties. Five months of Proglycem then turned me into an insulin-dependent diabetic Compared to this lady, what I live with seems trivial. (It ain’t.)

To the family and friends, For a moment....if only for a moment....he smile at you, with you,for you....for a moment he laughed with you....for a moment he gave his time for you...for a moment he shouted and screamed while enjoying his time with you...but for those moments you didn't know they were just moments...but you now know God gave you all of those moments....he shared his son with you for all of those moments... to show you his power of LOVE!!!!!! 😊😊😊😊 And oh how unmatchable is his love! How unmatchable is his grace to bestowed through the memories and lessons that you can share for a lifetime and for many generations to come. Continue to share his gift the God gave you for the short moment but infinite joy and laughter....and he lives on each day. Cause the spirit never dies. May the message of Christ show you that he came to show you a path to boundless joy and love if we obey him. I invite you to the New Golden Heights Church of Christ on KZbin. I took am facing many personal challenges at 60. I lost custody of my young daughter and don't know her whereabouts for over 9 years, lost my job, my home etc. But there is one thing I know and I do know for sure that Jesus Christ lives and joy will come one day! As MLK Jr. said I cant seen the mountain top while in the valley, but I can leave a path for other to make it tomorrow. So I challenge you to create something as a memorial for your dear friend that can inspire the lives of others. God Bless you today and for many moments on your journey😊😊😊😊

Broke my fibula midway up the calf and the tibia where it connects to the ankle. The nurses asked if I ever used crutches before and I said no. They said just put them in your armpits and in front of you and swing, watched me do it once. Now it's on my report that they gave me crutches and "educated" me on how to use them and that's gonna be on the bill. Nevermind I got home and had to figure out how to navigate stairs on my own. 1:35 they didn't teach me this 2:24 or this 3:33 or this 4:27 or this If I could choose, the "education" part of my medical bill would go to the woman in this video

Have hand chronic stuffy nose for 4 years. Told it was deviated septum… got the surgery and nothing improved. Got my turbinates reduced… no improvement. Told it’s likely new allergies as surgery won’t do anything going forward except to reduce the turbinates even more. I’ve had season allergies my whole life but nothing like this. Going to get allergy shots next week and try that for a year to see if that improves… My symptoms, my nose is so stuffy ALL the time. Especially my left nostril gets so bad it blocks my right nostril and my throat. Even sitting sets off my nose to get stuffy. Only thing that helps is intense exercise or just standing and moving. Holding heavy thing with my right hand actually helps clear up my left nostril. I get occasional moments when I can breath maybe 20% through both my nostrils but sleep is a nightmare especially with 2 kids under 2… my marriage is suffering because I’m constantly feeling like I suffocating just trying to breath and my mood is just awful these past 4 years. Saying im desperate is an understatement. Saline, nasal massage and even afrin don’t work anymore… my dumb nose developed a resistance to it all and Im feeling like there is no cure. If allergy shots don’t work, I will just remove my turbinates… f it Anyone else having the same symptoms? Idk how allergy shots will help me when sitting or being stagnant is what’s really triggering. I’ve lived in Northern Virginia and then moved to Colorado with the purest air and still no improvement. I’m in Hell…. Someone recommended something PLEASE

It's extremely painful. I have a high pain tolerance and it's made me cry. Just gotta keep on doing the Mom things. Grocery shopping with an attack and vomit when I come out. It's awful. I've had it for a while and just thought why in the world does it hurt so bad to just have gas? Well, several years later I finally found out. Hang in there. Help is just around the bend.

How much do y’all wanna bet that this dude is currently up to date on his booster shots? 😂 Literally only 5% of covidians peddling this propaganda from day 1 are themselves currently boosted.. That’s all you need to hear about this debate.. Covidians don’t even practice what they preach, and that’s because ACTUAL long term data has finally been gathered, and everyone’s afraid of mRNA vaccines now 😂

Nebraska you are so fortunate to have Dr. Aita! I saw him several years ago for gastro issues and thought he was one of the best MD's / Specialists I ever had the privilege of being treated by. I was in need of a Gastro specialist this past year and was so dismayed that he was no longer in our area! (My new G.I. clinic/Dr. just don't compare or instill the same level of confidence). Dr. Aita was so thorough and such a good listener. A real rarity in today's medical world. Someone advised he had moved out of state. What a loss for our area. Happy to see Dr. Aita is still practicing and has returned to his childhood roots. If I lived closer, I'd definitely try to be his patient once again. Best wishes!

You need the best plastic surgeon after mandible cancer. My sister had 5 surgeries at Buffet Cancer Center. She was told after her last surgery that they would do plastic surgery on her after she healed. She has now been told it is to risky. She was left with a “bump” under her bottom lip, which you can’t even see due to the bump. We as her family still can’t understand what the purpose of that was. I wish she had received a second opinion before anyone touched her. Praise God she is cancer free but her face is disfigured for life.

I'm 33 and just about to finish my clinical rotation and take my CST exam. I love being an ST, it's super invigorating and challenging. I've never used my brain so much! I'm glad I waited until I was more of an adult and wanted to go back to school. I honestly can't imagine going into this field right out of highschool, kudos to anyone that successfully does.
