This was a super fun watch for the first half but very frustrating in the second! hahaha Please don't move the scanner, drag the notes onto it instead so you never get the wrong one You can sell more than one thing but they need to fit, just like on the table nothing is stackable For the black market guy he doesn't disappear when you give him something so do what he says and LOAD HIM UP with as much as you can The pepper spray seems a bit pointless given you can click three times to get rid of a thief The boarding passes seem so useless haha they pay nothing and take up so much space 😭

Thanks for the feedback! I really love indie games and part of the reason I started this channel is to get people hype about playing them too, so I'm always wondering about the balance between showing and letting people try it themselves. This kind of feedback is super helpful, so thank you!

As one that has worked jobs like this before, this is fairly accurate to the experience. Quickly scanning or typing products in while packing or passing back products to customer for bagging (if they've remembered their BYOB (Bring Your Own Bags)), dealing with price disputes, answering questions, processing returns, inputing reduced items and loyalty cards while promoting specials or asking for donations for charities. All of this while enduring standing for long hours to serve an endless line up of customers: some pleasant ones that'll help out, some impatient ones that interrupt or bum-rush you, some slow ones who are doing their best and some with crappy manners that couldn't care less with how they act, the general public. It takes a lot of endurance and patience to work this kind of job and the public should try to remember that when they shop in-stores. Maybe in their story mode, they should make some of the challenges happen. To really put yourself in those workers' shoes.

I was impressed by the accuracy too! It felt really "real". I think you've got some great ideas about the story mode events and agree that it would be great to see some of those pop up! I feel like it could end up as a really cozy and heart-warming story

Hi )/ I couldn't find an email to contact you, sorry if I'm doing it here... I'm a game developer, I recently released a strategy roguelike deckbuilder where you build equations with your cards to score points (you can find a trailer for the game on my channel, I obviously won't share links here). I'm here to ask you if you wanted to try it out. The game is called Card Draw and a demo for the game is coming soon on Steam, but a polished prototype version is already available to play in browser on itch (no downloads needed, the link is in the trailer's description). Sorry for sharing this here, I didn't know how to contact you... If you are reading this, you can delete the comment if you don't like it. - Valdis

Hi, and thanks for reaching out! This message has really surprised me. I ... never expected to have game devs ask me to play their game so I don't have a business contact yet - sorry about that! I would love to check out your game, but I can't guarantee that I'll make a video about it for several reasons including mainly that my current schedule/life is very hectic right now. I did take a quick look though and it seems neat and something I would like, so if I have time to check it out I may make a video on it later. If I do, please understand that I would give my honest opinion, including what I think is good or bad. Would that be alright? Also, I will work on updating my contact info this week to make it easier for people to reach out to me directly. Thank you again for reaching out. I really appreciate it!
@oddeyesgames2 күн бұрын
@@spitethriver Great to hear you’ll update your contact info so other devs can reach out too (expect a lot of them as your channel grows). The reason I reached out is that you play a lot of roguelikes and deckbuilders, and I’d really value feedback from a player who’s played many games in the same genres as mine (though mine is a bit more minimalistic and score-centered). That said, I completely understand if you don’t have a chance to check out the game, so no worries! Of course, it’s also totally fine if you don’t have time (or don’t feel like) making a video for your channel. If you do enjoy the game and maybe decide to record a video for it, I’d really appreciate an honest opinion: clear and direct feedback from players is super helpful for future development. Thanks so much for taking the time to respond and for checking out what the game’s about. I hope you enjoy it if you get a chance to give it a try!

@spitethriver I could see "cozy roguelike/lite" being a good description for this. Hades was the only other one I sank any significant amount of time into, and I love how accessible this is, comparatively, at least for as far as the demo's concerned. It'll be interesting to see how the difficulty curve ramps up when getting further in the full release for sure!

Sorry I missed this comment - Hades was also my entry into roguelites and honestly I'm so glad it was. The game I had previously played the most was Stardew Valley so being able to level up character relationships kept me going through being terrible at clearing the final stage haha! Also loving how accessible this is, and I expect it to be not so bad since I think the dev wrote somewhere that it's intended to help beginners ease into the genre!

The boxing glove was a MUCH NEEDED boost to the percent mechanics and the duck hat adds decent synergy. While I don't like relics that offer NOTHING on their own it does make a percent build more plausible. On its own the boxing glove is every 20th attack and the upgrade is every 10th attack. Much better than 4% on defeat, which is just deplorable. Considering what I said before about needing 2 upgrades to make the medals mid, the BG only needs 1 to make it serviceable. a decent 4/10 item in my book if you get 2 and upgrade both then it provides rage at every 5th attack. VERY nice. By itself it starts mid(2/10), then becomes decent(4/10) but with 2 upgraded they become strong(6/10) I understand that most games don't let you get broken builds but that is half the fun, just finding those combos. Seeing as it combos with itself I'd go as far to say that It easily makes it into the C Tier. I actually might make a tier list with reasonings depending on if you keep playing this game. Its up to you, If you are interested drop me a comment about it. I understand most gamers hate when people give unwanted suggestions. I'll respect your choice. I apologize for yet another massive comment 😅
