Cylinders are oldest I’ve used , not for printing though . I worked at a school exercise book place once . They had exact same machine your using in office . The original owner personalised exercise books with one with school logos on front cover. It turned into a multi million pound operation . It’s digital now which is good and fast but break down every couple of days 😂

@@ossyrover1982 Thanks for sharing this! That must have been a fantastic place to work. It's sad to see so many traditional skills being lost now.

I read years ago that it was 'pints and quarts', used by brewers.

Thanks for your comment 😊 'Pints and quarts' is certainly a popular theory, and we're sure this will forever be contested, but it's something we know to be true of letterpress printing as well. Either way, both explanations are a nod to how small details matter, whether in printing or brewing. Cheers! 🍻

These St Kilda diaries are a wonderful addition to the NTS videos. It is a shame that they are not being viewed by more people. Well done in producing such informative and well-produced videos.

Awesome video, thanks for sharing these magical images ! Little question, is it still possible to see the birds in mid/late september ? Thanks a lot

We hope you enjoyed the video! Unfortunately, the seabirds will have left by September. But there is still plenty of wildlife to see across the islands of Scotland, including seals!
