I'm getting one in 5 days! Wish me luck! (Also can anyone recommend some tips to make taking the prep easier)

No sé espanten no duele nada, y después que me pasó la anestesia tampoco sentí ningún dolor, y eso de ir varias veces al baño está bien porque si no tu intestino no estará limpio y te pueden cancelar la colonoscopia, pero no duele gente

Just had my first one yesterday. It really is no big deal. Heck, if I could have slept more in the recovery area, I would have. I was totally comfortable there. 🤓 And honestly, I’ve had food poisoning that made me a whole lot sicker than the prep did. I was surprised that they found three polyps, and grateful that they did so they could be removed before they grew into anything more dangerous. For the record, I am 48 years old with no history of colon cancer in my family and no symptoms that would send me in. My primary care physician strongly suggested doing it due to rising rates of colon cancer in the United States in younger people, and I’m grateful that she mentioned it.

in Russia it’s a shame, the procedure is done for free if you are given a referral by a general practitioner, to a proctologist, and by a proctologist for a colonoscopy, it will take time. the procedure is done by one person without any anesthesia, it’s terrible pain from the bursting air, and they also give you just cheap disposable panties with a hole and you lie down in your clothes on a bare, cold couch. before me the patient screamed loudly, I stood it for 5 minutes and interrupted the procedure

I have white coat syndrome . I know my blood pressure will be high hope they can still do it. Had a postitive colorguard test. Maybe they will give me something to help me relax.

Did this last month. Worst part is the prep. U need to a toilet nearby. u gonna poop every seconds for at least 4 hours. The procedure itself is a walk in the park. i did it awake with mild sedatives. i watched the monitor as they insert the scope. All i felt is someone touching my anus then suddenly the Dr says we are approaching the descending end of the colon i was like what? Like is the scope in already? Then the Dr says entering is fast but the withdrawing part will take some time as they look for polyps. They found two small polyps. Removed it. There were bleeding but i did not felt anything. Then voila it is done. Piece of cake.

Easiest way to prepare is to just say no! It's a money scam! 8k for a never needed procedure. The fact that doctors try to guilt you into this speaks volumes. The dirty disgusting medical field will do anything to get rich faster. Scarring you is all part of it. If you do get it done you're guaranteed to get cancer • They got you hooked and will do what's needed. You're asleep and no witness for you so they do what ever they want .

Send these stupid 3rd world doctors back . This is another liar!!!!! Put him in a wood box and send him home to the shit hole he came from don’t give him money !!
@wizzard33333336 ай бұрын
You are put to sleep why? So they can make you sicker. You can’t trust doctors much less why would you starve yourself for some 3rd world doctor to get this procedure? Don’t allow the medical community rope you into their scam. This procedure is 8k per exam and is an easy way to hook you into yearly exams.

Had my first colonoscopy yesterday. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, I didn't have sedation, just gas and air and was able to watch it on a screen. Had 5 polyps removed and two biopsies

I just had my first colonoscopy done today at age 40. I’ve never had a major procedure done, and never been sedated so I was extremely anxious! But the whole procedure was easy and pain free. I was out like a light within seconds of them injecting the sedative, woke up what felt like seconds later in the prep room. I was offered my drink of choice too(I guzzled down some apple juice). People who’ve done it before had all said the same thing and they were right. The prep the day/night before is the worst part. I’m very relieved and happy this is over with, that it was this easy and pain-free, they found nothing concerning and I don’t have to mess with it again for 10 years. Please, people, if you’re watching this, get this done. It’s one of the most common and easiest preventative measures to do. If they do find something it’s usually caught early and colon cancer is one of the most preventable cancers. Insurance will cover it even before 45 if your doc believes you need it sooner. There is even a website called www.stopcoloncancernow.com/costs-of-a-colonoscopy/uninsured you can check out if you are uninsured. Take care of your body, it’s the only one you’ll ever have!

Dr. Padilla is an amazing doctor. He makes you feel relaxed, and at ease with great bedside manners. He will laugh with you, which also helps in putting you at ease. he explains any possible surgery you may be having in terms you can understand. An overall great person! he will be doing a transoral resection of the odontoid for Basilar Invagination. He will possibly be removing C1 & C2. The odontoid is jammed in my foramen and causing compression of the Medulla Oblongata/Brain Stem & Spinal Cord. This is part 2 of a 2 part surgery. Dr. Michelle Cecchini performed the first part. She did a Posterior Fixation of skull plate and fusion from C0-C5 with rods, plates and screws. I couldn’t have asked for a better team. Dr. Cecchini’s will be present in the operating room when Dr. Padilla does his part. I am so excited to get this done. It will Possibly be done by the end of February or beginning of March.

@jacindralumbardton4691 Good morning to you. I hope you’re doing well. I’m having my first Colonoscopy done in 3 days and I have a question for you. How did your body respond to the second half of the prep and were you able to make it to the hospital without having to go to the bathroom? My appointment time is at 9:30 AM and the hospital I have to go to is 1/2 hour a way from me. It’s my first time having this done and I don’t know what to expect. So could you please get back to me? I’d truly appreciate it. Hoping to hear back from you or anyone else here that has had a colonoscopy done several times. Thank you! Have a blessed day!

is it straight forward ? or do you also need a urinary catheter inserted?
@mattmcguire1577 Жыл бұрын
No. It is a relatively light sedation. You breathe for yourself as well. You will be unconscious and may hear them sort of. Like sleeping in front of the TV. I heard nothing. From arriving to leaving was three hours. A bit if discomfort for a day or two. A couple of paracetamol tablets was all I needed.
