United fans… this man is clearly a special manager. Give him time! Don’t start listening to the media and these pundits who want United to suffer, allow the manager to make mistakes and time to implement what he wants and hold the club accountable for not following through with his plans if the players aren’t working hard or doing well under him. Back this man and the players and ignore rivals the media and pundits.

Such a shame for such a promising young manager. Hopefully he can turn his career around like Ten Hag did.

There is something I've noticed in his introduction to staff at Old Trafford. And it's more curious than judgemental because I don't fully know the reason why. But his handshake with those 'up front' like the management and players is the modern form - clasping hands and pulling into the body whereas for the backroom staff it is the old style handshake. Curious.

It’s the hope that kills us. Every manager that comes in here we think it’s going to transform the club back to the glory days but then our fan base doesn’t want to be patient and it never works out. Please let this one be different!

I lived in Lisbon for a few years after Ruben arrived at Sporting. To hear friends and my father in law (a Benfica fan) talk about this guy, you'd have sworn it was the second coming of Mourinho. Exciting times, if he does fail, it won't be for lack of ability.

When he succeeds! As soon as we can see improvement.... The higher ups better tie him down, immediately. Cos everybody will want the guy that turned Manchester United around. The job has been dubbed as impossible. I believe in you Ruben Amorim! Can't wait for the chants: 🎶🎵🎼When the reds are 13th... and ten hags in the wind.... Get Amorim!!!🎼🎵🎶

12 minutes interview and he didn't for once mentioned Sporting. Ten Hag would have been screaming Ajax from the first minute 🤧

I hope he remains honest throughout his stay at the club. I turned on Ten Hag when he began lying to the fans and giving excuses.

NGL, but MUFC has a special connection with Portugal - CR7, Nani, Bruno, Dalot, Carlos Queiroz. Hoping Amorim becomes the guy to take us back to the promised land, but i fear they'll force him to try and get something out of donkey Trashford and that will end his career.

@vkdeen7570 jose wasn't past peak when we signed him. He just had half a bad season at chelsea and they won the league the season before. Ole had a great start and there wasn't a united fan at that time who wasn't saying give him the job. Ten Hag was the fave choice played great football at Ajax.

@reeltork3352 jose was well past his peak, he'd been fired 3 times a row and each time it had blow up really badly. it was never going to work long term. his youth record ess abysmal as well old had feel good factor and utd ans did want him but in reality he never had the coaching ability and without the structure above it was pointless

Its not foolish, iTs when everyone knows how you will play, you go there, play the way they expect you to play and still beat the crap out of them, thats identity, and e he has done at braga and sporting. Lets just hope he can do it at man utd also.

@ so if coca-cola gives away their secret ingredient, they will become more successful 🤔. It can work in junior leagues or Academies. However, It doesn’t work long term especially in EPL. You have to field a team based on your opponents’ weaknesses. And not be like Bielsa or Ragnick insisting on not changing a thing after getting trounce 5 nil time and time again.

Funny thing is....... when Ruben was a player in the Braga squad that lost to United 3-2(fergie era🫡), the United goals came from Javier Hernández aka lil Pea and Johnny Evans. Evans who is a returning United player in a squad now managed by Ruben. Imagine that🤔 if Johnny Evans doesn't getva game this season, he'll know why😂

I was at the man utd v spurs when Ronaldo scored a hat trick. We made a day of it and had a few pints as we made our way. It's always a great laugh. At the time our poor form was being blamed on Ronaldo! I said that's madness. He was pointing out what we needed to be doing. Instead he was ostracised and ousted.
