Yeah, my step count always goes bananas on Universal days, even if we only go for a couple hours.

Disney World can still be done without Lightning Lanes. I did my 4 parks, 1 day on a Saturday without it. Wait times did widely vary, and I felt antsy at times, but the longer times I waited for were attractions I love! LL is for sure easier and I like using it, this was just a recent experience of mine😊

I have been visiting SDC for over 40 years. I have made wonderful friendships with 2 particular SDC citizens - Terry Wayne Sanders and Mandi Crawford. Do you know them? Most time I meet people I anticipate finding a problem with me. And then there's me walking around Canada's Wonderland alone in line for Wonder Mountain's Guardian and a woman asks me to ride with her daughter. My brain did NOT ask anything negative. Thanks for making me realize that. Theme Parks truly are different places.

I love theme parks. It really is a break away from reality. Its just so nice to forget about my worries and enjoy myself.

This is the feeling I has when seeing musicals- I can escape the troubles of the current and focus on seeing those great actors on the stage. And maybe meet some of them afterwards. (Or before as when I saw Les Mis a week ago.)

Tomorrow is my first day of work at a theme park

Part of our Research is asking Sir Willow when the kids in Missouri are going to be out of school for spring or fall dates when we go to SDC. We also have contacts in Tenn. when we go to Dollywood LOL.

Funny. My late wife worked Captain's Table in the Yacht Club and it was always all hands on deck for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I decided to surprise her and visit one Christmas and saw the line of cars for Magic Kingdom went beyond Hollywood Studios --- 3+ miles. One yer her sister brought her family and for Christmas. We did everything we could to have them wait a week but they came anyway. We saw the family Christmas evening and Mary's niece smiled and said they closed the park but we still got two rides in. They were the tram to the gate and then the tram ride back to the car.

This morning, I got a call. "Wanna go with us to take our granddaugher to Urban Air?" Met at 1 pm. Went. It doesn't open til 4. Walked around the mall. Similar, Mom and I, years ago at SDC for Thanksgiving. Now check the schedule. They didn't. .

Saw it once in '07. Really wish I kept my original wish and saw it in 2020 because I bet it'd be funnier to adult me than kid me.

Don't Make Planning These Mistakes? 🤷

I am also hoping Disneyland will not be a total or even such Construction Site in late Summer when I will be there for my first OG Trip Rides and Shows will be up and running have to catch it´s a small world before they closing it for holiday overlays and the Train and so much.

Sorry but everything they announced at D23 is in developing and will be done that´s why BTM also will be closed for a Year not just for the things for Rivers of America and such for the CARS overlays. Those announced things are in real developements not just like Blue Sky stuff was before. So don´t be so pessimistical on those things. If thinks get well we see that til 2029 with some optimistical point of view. Yeah it was disappointing things before announcing only to doing different or even not but we have to keep some faith. We even don´t much how much stuff Disneyland Forward may have to offer besides what we know with Coco and Avatar. The Force will be with us a lot of things happening around the World for Disney Parks we have to be patient and optimistical it will be fine the only worries we may would could have how long it will take for them if things will be getting done as fine and quickly as possible. Test Track reopens later on so it will be interesting how it turns out the changes. In 2 yrs the Tropical re-themed Area in AK with INDY overlay Ride and so on like Encanto. But I agree it is kinda sad that they are IP driven so far and giving so less Inspiration from the old and newer Imagineers and unique special Rides and killing so classical ones.

Gotta have a game plan of what you want to do & check if it's virtual queued, otherwise good luck! My main word of warning is, what's true at Disney World in FL. It is not always the same as Disneyland in CA. So make sure you're researching the right park and not info older than a year, as it's always changing.

And ALWAYS budget for beverages throughout the day. If you don't, you might die of heat stroke, ESPECIALY in Florida.

Some other things, if your going alone or with a small group dont be like me and go to a park and not consider the parking fee, i went to six flags and was surprised about the 30$ parking fee. Check to make sure that the rides/shows/attractions are actually open. Dont not look up park hours and days open, especially when durign school is in session. Yep that mention of going to the right park, dont go to disney park expecting lots of thrill rides and roller coasters. The opposite is true, dont expect a six flags park to have a lot of non thrill/roller coaster ride.

Me, my mom, and sister are going next month to Disney world to celebrate my sister’s unofficial 40th birthday 🥳👏🏻 My mom is an excellent planner when it comes to planning any trips. And I know to do my research before going to Disney world 💜 Also we got our tickets from our MWR (military welfare recreation), so we got a discount. We are flying Southwest Airlines 🧡❤️💙💛

Yes when I was a little kid my parents thought the same thing that no one would be at Disneyland on New Year’s Day. Oh my! I’m thankful my daughter and new husband did tons of research and planning for their honeymoon at WDW! Thanks for the video kind Sir Willow!

To be fair, It's a Small World Holiday at Disneyland is pretty darn good and the Snoopy Ice Skating Show down the road at Knott's is also outstanding! I love SDC's Christmas, but I do feel like some of the offerings are a little stale (to be fair, the same could be said about many Christmas events, including Disney's) and could use some changes. Even something like adding a few floats to the Christmas parade wouldn't require that much investment and would make a huge difference IMO. I would have generally preferred when they redid Dickens that they went in a different direction with the songs rather than the sound-alikes, although the cast and music changes have grown on me a bit over time. I have also noticed that there aren't quite as many lights as there used to be. Not a huge decline or anything, but as just one example, they used to light the Powder Keg sign and barrels and haven't for the last few years.

The employees have to reapply for the same job or a different job and hope they get hired back. Doesn't seem fair but it's how it is. Can be the best employee of all time, no promise coming back next year

In all honesty, Disney has no business owning the rights to the Muppets and they would better off in the hands of another company. Whether it's Netlfix, Apple, Amazon or even Comcast, I'd trust any of them to give the Muppets the TLC they deserve. Rock n Roller Coaster should be re-themed to Powerline from A Goofy Movie.
