Accidentally came here from a Brand New vid. No regrets.

I think the instrumentals on the original demo were a lot more full and “alive” (same thing with 1996) but I prefer Jesse’s mature voice on the demos. Really miss the little “...we will make your getaway” harmonies of the original though.

I love how dynamic this song is. It brings the listener on a whirlwind of emotions. I remember finding it on youtube and ripping it to my iPod in high school. Helped me in study hall.

I don't want to sound like a snob because I respect the fuck out of Jesse Lacey and all of brand new but this song was near perfect the first time. I know as a song writer it annoyed the hell out of Jesse that we heard an unfinished version of this in his opinion so he ended up putting out a "finished" version. But I feel like this song could have been left alone! Good on their part for remastering the demo version so people like me really couldn't complain and just listen to the other version. And I'm not even saying I don't like it. I just like the other one better.

Anyone know where I can get a good 320 copy of this song other than ripping this from youtube? I have the tape but I want this version for my collection.

Honestly, I think I like the remastered version better. It's just more refined, but really not all that different. Both are amazing

its so strange hearing a new version of this. ive had the original version for about 7 (at a guess) years under the name cleanser in my itunes. i think i prefer the rougher cut of it....its still one if bn's finest hours mind

I prefer the other vocal track personally. More emotional sounding I feel.
