I'm an American combat veteran with PTSD, and the fact that innocent people are killed by those serving to protect the innocent in our country breaks my heart every single time it happens. We have to strive to be better than this. Thank you, Mr. Springsteen, for this sadly forever relevant song.

I heard she had a meeting with him in the morning, but the night before she was to meet him she passed away of an overdose so if this is true she literally never made it to the next day which she sings… and I’ve always thought that was really weird so now you hear those lyrics it’s super weird… I saw it on her documentary, don’t know if you saw it. It’s really sad though
