Nice coloring of the steam locomotive. I thought they'd be red, but the blue color is good. I love the speeds and video.

Hi Nicholas awesome video I have one of the new T classes from powerline as well, the reason why the T struggles to run properly when cold is because the pick ups on the bogies are not touching the wheels they are just floating so if you use a couple of flat head precision screwdrivers on the pick ups bending them down to then touch the wheels you will find that the T class will run perfectly with no issue.

Thanks Corey glad you enjoyed the review. I'll have to give your idea a go. Thanks for the suggestion.

Awesome video as always mate. I was going to go but stuff got in the way at the last minute. I also like the VR T class you got. I am looking forward to seeing it run. Oh, and i was going to ask. Is the AMRA open tomorrow? I was planning on coming to your club.
@NicholassTrainChannel21 күн бұрын
Thanks Jai. It was a great little exhibition. I have run the new T class on my layout and it runs very good and I'll also be taking it to the club as well. And yes AMRA club rooms are open tomorrow for the Australian DCC session from 1pm to 5pm. I'll be there as well.

@@NicholassTrainChannel No I'm not a member yet. but I'm working on it and thanks for letting me know. I'll bring $4 to (:
@NicholassTrainChannel21 күн бұрын
@@jaistorey6839 Normally members can’t run trains but just check with whoever’s running the session if it’s ok for you to run trains and provided you have $4 it should be okay. But just tell the person running the session your working on your membership and if you bring $4 it should be ok. Or just finish your membership application before you go.

Thanks mate. The UK themed layouts at the exhibition were fantastic especially the Genesis layout had to be my favourite out of the entire show.
@redstorm200327 күн бұрын
Second time I see Genesis and it still facinates me. An amazing layout. The G scale by AMRA-VIC is also very nicely put together showing how a garden scale layout can be cobbled up together is a small space and provide s lot of fun with shunting and changing running trains. Fern is a fun switching layout and so much fun in a small space .Slate Valley, Cinnamon Port, Whitefish Bay are all showing fantastic modelling skill. Y Slobs Braster Rheilfford Gul , I can even pronounce the name - I don't speak Welsh, is beautiful and being modular will probably be expanded in the coming years. had an enjoyable afternoon.
@NicholassTrainChannel21 күн бұрын
Thankyou Genesis was by far my favourite from the show the amount of detail put into that layout is just fantastic. Layouts like Slate Valley, Cinnamon port and White fish bay are great as they show what can be done in a small space. I can't wait to see more modules added to the Y Slobs Braster Rheilfford Gul layout as it shows that the FreeM009 concept works well. This is an exhibition I'll be attending more often I recon.

The theming on this club layout is great. Nice and diverse. I can see English and American things there in addition to Australian. Australia, America and England all in one that's exactly what I want to do with my home layout as far as theming. Looks like Auscision will be releasing a model next month that I've been eagerly anticipating. Their CL Class models. I would've started on that home layout project already if I hadn't been driven out of my home by the latest round of California wildfires a month ago. Heck I was literally going to start laying down the track the day that the fire was started (intentionally started by a crazy arsonist, that's what really gets under my skin), so instead I ended up boxing up my trains, among other things and monitoring the situation, so when I ended up leaving, I brought all my trains with me so they're safe.

In the southern NSW town of Griffith there's a old plane mounted on a high support in the main street. The propeller even rotates when the wind blows.

Awesome video Nicholas. It was nice talking to you there. It was a lot of fun there and great purchases too. But i was shocked when i saw the price on one of the wagons. But as you sed it was brass and rare. But i don't think i still would pay that much for a wagon. But it does looks nice.

Neat work Nicholas, going to look great. Funny, I thinking when you originally mentioned a retaining wall, that concrete was another option! Plenty of examples around the burbs for you to study 🙂
@NicholassTrainChannel2 ай бұрын
Thanks Richard. I'm looking forward to completing the hillside. I have had a think about the retaining wall lately and I decided I will go with a concrete one as I have never done a concrete retaining wall before on the layout even on previous layouts. I'll no doubt do some research to see what style I like the best.

I really do want to get down to Australia to visit one of these exhibitions at some point in future. Because I live in the USA I’m concerned about international shipping costs when it comes to buying authentic Australian model railway stuff. Just as my grandfather personally hand carried authentic German model train stuff back to America long ago I’d be more than willing to do it with Australian stuff. AU is already in my top 3 of countries overseas I want to see as it is.
@NicholassTrainChannel3 ай бұрын
Thanks mate. there are quite a lot of exhibitions that happen in Australia each year. I have only been to exhibitions in Melbourne but I would love to attend some in other states as well. I would love to see what exhibitions in the USA are like. As for importing things it would be the same for me if I was to import a model from the USA to AUS.
