It's actually a Double cradle frame. If I am not wrong, I believe the rear part (sub frame) is a separate piece which is connected with a bolt, similar to a trellis frame. 😊

Both are strong. If the manufacturers requirement is weight reduction then they prefer Trellis frame. Else Perimeter frame is sufficient. ☺️

For lower capacity bikes Double cradle is fine, but if it is higher capacity bikes then Perimeter and Trellis frames are better. 🙂
