Nice overview of what to expect when visiting the Capitoline Museums. Thanks a lot, I was undecided between Palazzo Massimo and Capitoline; now I decided I will visit both!

I love your video, you guys, thank you. When I was there, I saw all of these large urns, randomly placed in corners, and went up to one, to see what was inside... I touched the rim and was immediately repelled by an horrible sense of dread. My 3 year-old daughter Lucy wanted to know what had scared me, and I didnt know! By the time we got to the last room, on the way out, there were a couple more. These were under glass. So I looked in and saw a skeleton in each one...both cramped and in various states of disarray. One seemed almost whole, the other crushed terribly. I hadnt known they were coffins!

It's too bad you could not spend that little extra time on the episode for a more complete overview of such quality subject matter by showing as much of the site as possible without the feeling of being in a hurry, By Including all the accessible temple complexes as well as the unrestored & partially restored areas in & around the site perimeter is always a plus for the viewers who try to put such things in context. Being more of a slide show than a travel video, by giving the photos just a few more seconds per view, as well as zooming in on details of the sculpted imagery on intricate exterior panels as depicted on the buildings facades. A note on the wide stairways:,They are built to be accented & descended in a zig zag or diagonal manner from side to side, It's the traditional approach, as well as being much easier on the body especially on the long & steep temple stairs.

I was there four weeks ago. As our tour guide said at the start, "the Cretan sun is no joke." Bring sunscreen, water, and a hat, she was right.

Bob, geat recap of the first part of the site. I visited the site in 2004 and was able to climb many of the temples. The view from the top of the Castillo is breath taking, but you are right you had to be very careful on the steps. When we were there they had leather balls you could try to throw thru the holes on the ball court and that was hard, doing it with your feet would be almost impossible.

As of July 1st 2023 this video is out of order. It's still incredibly informative but the rooms have changed. For instance the bull leaper, indicated in the video to be in room four or five is now in room six. The Phaistos Disc, is now in room 5. There are other similar instances throughout the video. However, if you get to follow along a little bit, it's incredibly informative.

The accepted value for the little boy yield is 15kt. The target assembly was at the forend of the weapon. The projectile wasn't wedge shaped. That photo attributed to Hiroshima appears to actually be a test at an atoll at the Pacific Proving Grounds. Fat Man was 25kt. The Po/Be urchin is not usually described as a "core". That term is usually reserved for the fissile fuel. The Mk17 alongside its sister, the Mk24 was the physically largest device ever deployed by the US, but not the highest yield. It was 15 Mt. That picture is a Mk-36, not a 39.

Very succinct, concise and informative about the Temple of Delphi. Isn't the Omphalos actually thought of as the "navel of the world" or the center of the world where the ancients believed that creation "sprouted" from or out of?
