Whistle Video Thank you for your response. It's so great to hear that the girl in this video made it through. I've been with my girlfriend (now fiance) for nearly 11 years, and we have tons of evidence of being a couple, but I have read that it basically depends on the person interviewing you. I'm also a little worried because I have a few old pictures from 5 years ago on my (unused) Facebook account, of myself at parties and festivals etc. Basically I might look like a bit of a weirdo in some of them, but I have no bad intent. I am hoping and praying that this works out. The thought of failing after 11 years and all the pain and patience that goes with it, I simply wouldn't be able to carry on. Thank you for the reply! 🙂

@Andy Ritchie Thank you, friend. Yes it certainly did, and I'm here now and happily married! Feels very good, even if I'm not totally out of the woods yet. I am still in the process of going through a lot of paperwork before I can fully settle in, but it's going well. Thanks for asking, it has been an amazingly stressful journey up until this point.

Paul Michael the only way to get that waived is it there is a strong cultural restriction on you meeting in person before marriage. But I don’t recommend marrying some you have never met.

Ilham H She will need to bring you: 2 passport photos taken within the last 30 days An "Intent to Marry" signed by her (Google "Intent to Marry K1 Visa Template" and just use one of those) Her own written love story, signed (optional but a good idea) Any copies of evidence of your relationship she may have My boyfriend and I met up a week before I filed for the visa and having his things already in my hands was helpful. International mail takes so long so it's best to have her bring you everything so you can take it back home and get started ASAP rather than waiting around for a delivery just for her real signature.

Ilham H Yes it should be in English. Everything you submit should be!!! It's not necessary that she write a love story. I (the petitioner) wrote the love story and my boyfriend did not. He just wrote and signed the "intent to marry" which is just one or two basic sentences.

Hi, I took the affidavit of support to the interview and I had to fill out a similar one when adjusting my status (applying for my greencard). Hope that helps!

Hi Jamie, I didn’t get any letter after the ds160, just printed out the page that it said I would need at the interview. I didn’t receive any other letters other than the one I talked about. You should be able to book your medical and interview but they recommend leaving 10 days in between so that the medical can send all the stuff to the embassy ready for the interview. Also I didn’t call to book my interview I did it online. As I think you have to pay a fee before it will let you book it. Good luck with it all!

Whistle Video hi thank you for getting back to me so soon i see why people get lawyer's involved lol. My medical is booked however when i went to book my interview over the phone they wouldnt let me and said i had to wait for a letter from the consular and according to the embassy site i should get that after my medical smh lol.
