When I was 9, I heard my first song by The Chicks. Unfortunately, by the time I found them, it was too late and they no longer made music. Even at a young age, I was fascinated by their cancellation. So- I took a rather deep dive into their history and what they were doing now. That year, Natalie maines put out her first solo album and I watched an interview of hers where this song was showcased. The message was so profound to me. It changed my outlook on life forever. I was pretty certain I was one of the only people who knew the song at all. But, I saw today that Natalie didn’t write that song, Dan Wilson did. I hadn’t heard of you before Dan but, I’ve been listening to your words for 11 years now. These are words to live by. Thank you Dan
