My beloved son is battling terminal brain cancer for the second time in 13 years (the fact that he is still alive 13 years from the first occurrence is a miracle in itself). I have always been spiritual however this situation has triggered a huge internal crisis in me. I have been questioning everything especially who I am. The I, I have known myself to be is falling away and I feel like I am disintegrating. So this is ego death. It feels awful and right now I have no sense of who I am anymore or who I will become yet. I am devastated about my Sons illness yet I can see that there is a gift in it. It was pre planned and we both agreed to it before this life. Our lives are fleeting, just a blip in the Soul’s journey yet while we are here experiencing it it seems so real and so everlasting. Bless everyone who is “waking up” right now. It’s painful but once you start the journey there is no way back, only forward and I look forward to peace. ❤
