Thanks, Mark, this is a test video for West Marine. I did a "Part 2" in which I have a close up and actually show how to wrap the wire and secure the pin to the shackle. That wasn't approved as this was for sales training and they don't want any liability with installs. Corporate & Lawyers, go figure.

That's because the price may change over time! The videos stay active for years so the price on the day of the video would not be acurate years later. Hence the instructions to "Visit website"

No, but an autopilot can be installed. There is even an instruction manual aboard to do so, if desired. It has the "1/4 moon" pulley and cable system.

The bottom paint is so the marine growth can be removed more easily as this sits in brackish water. Yes it does add weight and resistance so you give up a few miles per hour and fuel economy, but protect the hull.

Ya know Bayliner always gets a bad rap as a cheap boat but this boat has everything for something under a 30 footer. I’m a cruiser guy myself but this may be my retirement plan. Especially for the money. These things are under $50k all day everyday! It’s a floating condo. It’s either going in Long Beach California if I stay in Vegas for my Catalina trips or Fort Pierce area Florida if i go down south!

I have a 79 CHB 34, equipped very similarly Have had it about 5 years in NorCal SF Bay area. Have been as far as you can go in a week or 10 days (Monterey, Bodega/Tomales Bay-abt 180NM from my home in Stockton). The thrusters are the only thing I spent a lot to add (abt 20k including bottom blister fixing and prop fixing) that I wouldn't have gone without. I have about $50k invested in her, and would take her anywhere within diesel range (approx 1,000NM at 7k)

Question, I know it’s been a while, I just purchased a 1980 23 ft tabloid just the same as yours , my question is , up underneath the boat on port side, up front, just about where the storage hatch is up front left side, well right about in that area, but underneath the boat, I have a small perfectly cut hole there as though some type of fitting goes there , do you have any idea what goes there, thinking about just doing a fiberglass plug patch there to close it up

Gas engine, original. Probably has a million hours on her. I used to see furniture with upholstery like that at Goodwill, 40 years ago.

that starboard outdrive's pin is shot, the seal will follow if not already. that'll let water to seep into the transom and rot it out. otherwise a gorgeous boat!!
