Saw this when I was around 9 in 2002….It was awesome. Very inspiring. I think I cried. Im 30 now. And I went to two Angel games the last two days…and it made me sad that the stadium was so empty. Miss those days. Hopefully the Angels can get back there someday.

I was in Berkeley during this Series. A friend of mine was a diehard Giants fan, and we were watching one of the games at a sushi bar. My friend, of course, wanted the Giants to crush the Angels, they were favored to win after all, they haven't won in decades (yeah, the Cubs and Angels would like a word), and as I later learned, Giants fan gonna Giants fan, they can be rather... militant (granted, sample size of 2, but both of them were "win at all costs even by playing dirty" levels of fanaticism). I said to her, "Well, look at it this way, if the Angels come back and make it a 3-3 series, you're watching a full 7 game World Series." Naive me, thinking she would enjoy the _ballgame_ rather than simply enjoy winning. And then the Halos went on to win it all. I do feel a little bad about that.
