Those who think Clovis is the safest and best area to grow up in obviously come from more blue collar families. I grew up from a wealthy family in North Fresno and people in my neighborhoods viewed Clovis as more poor working class people.

Like anything else there are going to be people that like and people that hate it. But I think one thing is very clear when dealing with Fresno. Ask anyone in Fresno and they will almost all agree on one thing once you get there it is extremely difficult to get out. So be sure about your decision to move here cause 99% of the time it will be a permanent one.

⚠⚠ THERE IS A LOT OF MISINFORMATION IN THIS VIDEO Sounds like this guys got his door knocked and let it hurt his feelings. As a professional who has been in this industry and has helped out hundreds of families make the switch to renewable energy. I think it should be noted that just because purchasing a system is cheaper, it is not always the best option for the end user, which is the customer. I think you and I could both agree that different customers have different needs. Some have money and others do not. A PPA is not the best option for a specific group of people. Most of which aren't often found in todays economy. I think you should also acknowledge that after the Inflation Reduction Act and interest rates skyrocketing. NOBODY is trying to pull out a loan for anything right now, let alone for solar. Also, a lot of people in Fresno are low income, retired or on fixed income. They have no money for solar. So a PPA is their best option to reduce their months bills and see any of that fixed income for themselves. A PPA is designed to be easily transferable to the new owner, I've sold several homes with a PPA on it and have family members in real estate who appraises homes for a living. They've told me it depends on the company that you go with and the practices that are in place. Not every PPA is the same. 1:26 Misinformation. Nobody gives up the right to anything, you are trying to place fear of a PPA in peoples minds. You are just allowing the space on your roof to be used for solar in the SAME way that you would if you bought a system. And now in CA that batteries are a requirement for solar to see the full benefit, you have to pay for the batteries too which makes it even more expensive. Those batteries usually last 10 years and panels last 25-30 So you're on the hook for the purchase of your replacement batteries before the lifespan on the system is over. That's a lot of cost and liability. 6:28 Tell that to the people who buy their system and have to replace the inverter a year later and have no idea who to call or how to rectify manufacturer's warranties etc. 6:47 NO 🤦‍♂ the installers actually DO charge a service fee that's the difference between you owning the panels and the company owning them... If you own them you are responsible for getting them serviced if anything goes wrong. 7:54 Giving out tax advice without being certified to is against the law and you should have disclosed that in this video. Wow. So for those who don't know because this guy obviously didn't explain it. You have to have a certain amount of tax liability to even qualify for the tax credit. It's not guaranteed just because you bought and system. YOU MUST consult your CPA before assuming you qualify for the tax credit, And it's not a check from the IRS it's only used towards tax liability. And if you listen to advice like the kind this guy is giving you might end up jumping the gun and getting in a situation where your loan payment goes up because you don't qualify for that 35% back and you're stuck with an even HIGHER payment It happens, and I've sat down with many unhappy solar customers who are in this position, and yes they live in Fresno. 8:02 It also increases your property TAX as well. you forgot that part. My dad purchased his system and Fresno raised his property tax. There is a drawback to everything and I really don't believe you have done the right amount of research to be giving this information out. There are a lot of holes and variables that you aren't explaining that relate to the nuances of each and every person. Solar is not a one size fits all solution and those who think you have to go into debt and purchase equipment to see the real benefit of solar. Will be the ones wondering why they paid thousands of dollars for a system that became old and lost it's value after the first year. Tied to a loan and lien on their property and all the liability of owning a system. It's a depreciating asset like a car and a PPA does add value to your home but not equity. You really don't have your info straight and I just have to pick this video apart. Leave this stuff to the people who care enough to find a solution that makes sense to the customer. Not just scaring them into what you think is right.

What about all these Banks or Hedge Funds, buying up SFRs? All Cash buys... Crowding out people looking at Starter Homes Once Blackrock Owns all the Houses they won't be Listing them. So what will Realtors do then...or what will Agents do then? Maybe Brokers will be okay, idk. But I never want a Corporation to buy my house. I want a Family to buy it.

Well it's in California so it's hostage to a communist government. Besides that it was a nice town in the mid-late 20th century but all the illegal immigrants flooding in and gang activity turned it into a crime-ridden crap hole. Enjoy your socialism...wouldn't live there if you paid me to.

I was looking for an old video supercut of movies and shows saying "Fresno" and found your video. Your title made me curious. This is really well done to put the info out there for potential transplants to the area. I feel like you were realistic. There's a lot of good about living here. It's been a rough 4 years. But I'm happier here than I would be elsewhere in CA, not that I could afford it. Interesting video.

Clovis is a very nice clean city. I’ve been here since 2017. Unfortunately, I have seen open racism here. The other day I saw a white guy taunting a nice Asian family inside the mcdonalds on Herndon and Clovis. He taunted and cursed at them all the way to the parking lot. My black Uber driver friends say that people in Clovis cancel their rides frequently when they see a black driver…

My God man!! I was born and raised in Fresno for 45 years before I moved out of state. Totally nailed it and is a true video. Yes tats. The Tattoo convention.. a guy did a awesome cover up. YES a cover up. AND I FOUND OUT LATER..he was one of the top coverup artists in THE NATION!! Oh hell I wish I had tipped more. Fresno heat was one main reason why I moved due to health issues. Due to the arid climate you may experience kidney problems because of sweating out all fluids. A Urologist told me Fresno is the kidney stone capital of the world. BUT.. the food is GREAT! Castillos Mexican Restaurant 😍 Dog House Grill, Indian, Armenian, taco trucks etc. are to die for (not really no thats permanent). 80% of my close personal friends are Hispanic decent. Where I moved .. let's just say it's not as friendly. They preach diversity up here but until it comes down to the nitty gritty, and outsider comes in.. just between you and me not true. Traffic moves 100x faster in Fresno and 100x slower here I dont know why, the roads make sense (Until you are where I am you won't get that.) And why TF do people back in??? Crime is attended in the outlying cities except for selective groups, but that's another issue all together. Yes homeless and transients are an issue. And more so here like LA or SF depending on the city. Taxes are way, way, way cheaper here and the state Government is held to what the State Constitution is so one side won't over shadow another. But again another story all together. Fresno was my home and miss it. I will return for my family, friends and food. But health wise was killing me and am happy where I am and it's not killing me.
