It is best to test a full candle because the wick burns differently at the top than in the middle. Also, wax gets harder the longer the cure time so to get a better idea if a wick is the right size, let the candle cure for 4 weeks . Then you will know if you need to change the wick size.

I’m wick testing the Auras as well. So far the wicking is easy. I was using the evermore which I love. But the Auras are close to the same wick size I used. By the way I use zinc I use a soy blend wax.

I have never tried the zinc before and I am getting the 75 that is recommended to see how they work…I was able to wick the 8oz Auras with no issues at all.

I use the Aurora vessels as well. I double wick with 75 and it gives an amazing hot throw and burns well, with 99 % of my fragrance oils. But I have to switch wicks for 2 of the fragrances I use. F.O has a lot to do with the way wicks perform.

I use wick stickers from candle science but any can work just make sure to clean your vessels with rubbing alcohol before..Good luck

That’s why started using wood wicks because it was so hard to keep them straight. Ive seen clothes pins as well. Maybe try that.

try using rubber bands to hold the skewers together then you can pull the wicks til they're straight

I guess I’m different I don’t like vendors showing me a bunch of different things I’d rather they wait till I ask. One thing I look for is items at different price points so I can support even if I can’t commit to a larger purchase

With the vessels i use they are great but I also us the 2.5 vessel from Makesy and they are single wick…I do find that the CD series or makesy cotton wicks work best for this wax

You didn’t use your wooden wick correct that looks like X wick, your missing the other piece. Also just a word of advice I’m still testing myself, if your in the testing phase don’t use up all your crystals, until your ready to sell them, they are expensive, makesy is outrageous in pricing you can get bigger bags in Amazon or Etsy … just fyi
