That’s a Neumann 147 tube mic going thru a focusrite red3 preamp/compressor. I found this captures opera voices perfectly. 😎

It's Charlie Norcross style of dancing. Charlie was old school mostly how ballroom dancing was in the 50's and 60's.

Yes, for 1976 I was lucky to have a few feet of film to match up with the audio recording I was making on 1/4 inch tape. The sound came out good for sure. Music videos really weren't a thing yet.

Yes, it was a hot spot for young talent coming from Northwestern University. Many of the people I record on my channel started out there years ago and went on to start their own Opera companies. Check out New York Opera Society by Jennifer Cho and The OC in Chicago by Oliver Camacho to name a few.
