So many hardcore FF fans hate this game, I have my huge issues with the return of Tidus, but I love that this isn't just some stupid sequel that is about standard saving the world story. Yeah, we got big threat, but there wasn't some big scheme. We just explore the world after FFX. How characters are living, how world turned out. There is also Yuna case. Why she is like this!? She wasn't like that!! Well...yeah, she wasn't. And that's the entire point. Her entire life was about living to the point of sucide. Meaningless sacrifice, for peace lasting 10 years in fear or so. After that, Yuna wasn't obligated to have that sad life no more. And that shows, how much this is just hate, because that was, what Tidus wanted for her entire time. To live how she wants. To be happy. And she definitely is. Many cringe scenes are just her being happy and not giving a fuck. Also also, upbeat tone of the game also is fitting. World is safe. Most of political bad guys also are gone. After so many decades with Sin and evil scheming people, they can chill out. As I said, I have issues with the ending (worst is the best one). Returning of Sin in the epilogue of HD also is a problem. But I like what we've got with this one.

@@AndreasFleissner it's... really weird. Good ending feels like some kind of non canon bad fanfic. Like a Yuna's dream. It was just so bad. Bad dialogue, badly made (why the hell everyone is there? It's maybe most cheesy thing, I've seen in video game story). Then... there's best ending. Comments say it best. It's weird. It doesn't feel like the best one, but that's because awful good ending. It's good, but not complete. I have theory, just for you. First, I still think, that Tidus shouldn't came back. It destroys entire Yuna journey, entire FFX ending. It wasn't about bringing back Tidus, but to find this look alike. It should be about Yuna life, that's just started. Bad ending is perfect closure. But...I think, there always was planned sequel. Entire trylogii. Best ending? You can't like it, it's bad, look at this sequel bait (incompliance best ending). You have to understand, not many ppl remember, but FFX was bigger success, than FFVII. That's, why they made sequel. But X-2 wasn't liked and Square Enix had an identity (and financial) problems. X-2 had mediocre at best DLC with one of the most realistic portails of relationship. It showed, that friendships can fail. Sphere Hunters, after their goal, could live with each other in peace time, without adventure... without purpose. It's long topic, but it's 10/10. There's also......Tidus and Yuna break up revealed in just one cut scene. Yuna met someone new, and didn't really cared about man, that she was entire purpose for existing. It was horrible, Yuna was portrayed horribly...and it would be there for nothing. We got DLC that was supposed to gave for us something, that will be explored more in the future...but then, we didn't got that story, until remaster. And that remaster continued, giving us audiolog, showing Yuna being jealous about some girl, and freaking Sin returning! From the start, they're decided to make third game, but after X2, they're focused on safe complication of FFVII. And everything started with that ending... Ps. I'm sure, that FFX-3 might come after new remake and FFXVI DLC.
