Is this project still active? It's immensely interesting.

1:07 No concept of leg or tail, eh? Well, what's that flexible whippy thing on the creature's end? And what are those two stubby things it's running on?

Some ways to add realism would be an digestory system to eat food, energy costs and many creatures in one ecossystem, also 3d would be cool, althrough we would probably not have particle physics for water then without serious optimization but the digestory system idea would be more realistic with it.

Have you stopped working on this project, or are you still working on the newer version? Just curious, I hope I see more of it! It’s really interest to see convergent evolution in a simulation!

can we evolve animals for maximum deliciousness?
@AdamPFarnsworth3 жыл бұрын
Look up a game called Crescent Loom. There's no evolution in it, but you design creatures, from their skeletal structure and muscular build to the neuron network inside the brain. You control which muscles contract and relax and when, thus creating movement! It's exciting to build something and then watch it come to life

great work, biology and the universe dont need some god (or maybe a doodle one :v). I think in to make random different cells, like: solid (bone), carillage (joints), muscle (move), sensor (light, sound, touch, temperature, etc), etc. next an more complex world with different oranisms competing for resources. damn difficlty, but tasty!
@mouvementebr35754 жыл бұрын
The thing is you are cheating compare to nature because you give the fitness function all the time so it is easy for the algorithm to converge for what you want to do it. Nature doesn't operate like that
@nohaxjustxmod-sfs39843 жыл бұрын
True, I would want to expand on it but im no real coder
@LineOfThy2 жыл бұрын
nature does rely on a fitness function, it's just that it is shown in a different way. If an animal can't survive an attack, you can consider it to be of low fitness.
