@@northernhigh420 A shovelhead insert? I'm not familiar with those. A shovelheads OD is 22mm. Cordless ball vapes are new to me. Have a B0, B1, B2, a ceramic B2 variant and a 25mm coil, head, rubies & glass bowl that I forget the name of lol. I'm hoping to use the 25mm x 31mm coil & the 300 or so rubies in an Epitome with the shovelhead bowl.

So one big question that should help you out is. Do you prefer pure convection hits and have you tried a lotus? The hit is similar to the lotus but much easier to get the result wanted with a quicker cool down time. It’s very much a convection style hit, rips really hard and fast along with cooling down about as fast as it heats up. This is a major advantage on the go for pocketing. Other than my ball vapes this is the one Vape I grab daily and use it more than once a day. Most of the other ones have gone into a rotation of im bored and want to change it up. It’s also I believe other than the Vaphit the most affordable option. If you use it on water it blows the rest of these away and it’s not even close. Which really comes down to the XL’s airflow which is really open compared to any of the others mentioned. Haven’t tried the Tempest or Vaponic yet. Vapefiend isn’t on the Camouflet yet?

@@northernhigh420 I've seen high praise for the Lotus, but it's certainly one of those vapes I've just glossed over (perhaps it's the look of it). Unfortunately, although I've been vaping for some years, I'm still a relative noob. I started with the Dynavap, and then bought a Solo 2 (hardly used) and then a Volcano Hybrid, which got used for a couple of weeks until it permanently went back into it's box never to be used again (for some reason, it felt anaemic compared to the Dynavap, and even with reducer and dosing capsules was greedy compared to my Dynas). So my experience has only been conduction/Hybrid. It'll be interesting to try a pure convection vape, and the practicality advantages you note are also very appealing. Even if it's not the one, I'm hoping it would at least make a good paring with my Dynavaps :p I've gone down the rabbit hole again since my previous post, and The Anvil seems to be speaking more and more! I'll probably end up getting both. It's fascinating what you say about Vaphit though, and it's not the first time I've seen this mentioned. Edit: unless I'm being blind, it doesn't look like Vapefiend stock it (the same with the handful of other decent UK retailers). I've been pestering them, though, in the comments section :p.

@@mup_pet i reached out to Camouflet they currently don’t have a partner in the UK. It’s something they are working on. They did mention they have a sale going on now along with shipping internationally. The Anvil is the other one I reach for on the go and probably my second most used stick style. If you value conserving flower it’s really difficult to beat that Anvil. The XL has a pretty big bowl on it. Lotus is great its one of my favorites but requires a bit of technique to get right.

@@Chillum710 I believe it’s at max temp if I remember correctly. With the XL I heat to a glow let it cool for 3 seconds heat till it glows again then rip it really hard. Best results I’ve had. This technique if you don’t hit it hard will combust. You can also do 25 till it glows for a similar result but won’t hit quite as hard.

@@northernhigh420 Oh no, not just your fault, quite the opposite! The proper "scanning" of an IH workload refers to back EMF and possibly even microphonics. If this scenario makes you curious perhaps i could suggest using an A.M. radio to dial in on some harmonics RF carrier and try to hear audible modulations, though i recently read it's now using a stainless steel diaphragm (with next to no Curie response). Microphonics would be more likely using a tool that clicks, provided a tiny magnet is added near the head to magnetize it during IH driving...

@@northernhigh420 It's convection if airflow carries the energy to vaporize, instead of only evacuating a stationary fumet created by the combination of radiative/conductive heat. So far it's up to the owner to find out unless that is openly demonstrated in some obvious manner IMO, anyway the fact remains we deal with an exposed hot tip which i wouldn't want to touch and that's why i put all my hopes on the Lotus (as revived by the VapMan manufacturers) because once a cap (yet-to-design) is added to it then that external wasted part of the heat can be conserved totally inside and shielded to augment the overall energy budget. So i must wonder, how would it hurt if Camouflet decided to offer a protective cap for their "Convector XL", convective or not?

On a 2nd thought i may have to conceed there could be a *stack* of heating elements inside the 'Convector XL' amovible cap, as i very vaguely recall for a lack of better view, right? But the Tempest seems to conceal its heat inside and hence maybe we can converge toward a middle opinion. A short Infra-Red capture would settle this riddle once and for all!

@@Egzoset this is correct I’ve actually removed them one time pushing a pin through the top they look similar to the screen inside. Also you can heat the sides for some conduction I just choose not to prefer more convection. The Tempest I pre-ordered on the 3rd so should be in the pipeline shortly. Feel free to hit me up on IG if you want to know more. The XL is interesting in a lot of ways its by far my favorite of this style. Heats the fastest, hits as hard as any out there, then cools the fastest by a long shot making it a really good portable for taking out and concealing you could pocket this thing in less than 30 seconds after a heatup. Missed the Lotus comments its very very similar to the Lotus in a lot of ways. Working on my Lotus review right now as we speak

@@northernhigh420 Obviously i've lost track in a few ways, i dunno what's « IG » for example. I'd sure have wanted one of those deluxe marvels myself but i finally got a new NoteBook instead - and it's still too much of a fingers burner anyway, that's why i think the Lotus is closer if combined to a table IH driver, but 30 seconds of pre-heat is excessive to me, that needs to be cut 10-fold!

I think its the most versatile by a long shot being there isn’t to many limits on what you can heat. Where the others if needs to fit in the hole. So being able to pre heat metal bowls and the lotus along with playing vape lego and experimenting its a not brainer for me. If it seems up your alley I don’t think you’d be disappointed at all. Agree, lesson was learned on this one looked better in editing. Tried using an Insta 360 x3 and didn’t work out well.

My first look video at the Anvil has it side by side with the Hyperdyn it’s a tough one right now being they’re both pretty new to me. If I had to choose right now id keep the Anvil

You and me both exactly why I went on the exchange the Anvil is living up to the hype for me though. The Hyperdyn is pretty good it’s growing on me.

The hyperdin is just another vapcap but bigger. the anvil is more powerful. you just get more out of the material you put in. I found it to be just better overall.

The Tempest is another good choice imo. As a heavy hitter as the anvil but more tasty. ☮️

I plan on doing a video on it soon just waiting on a few more devices. When it comes to the heat on the inductor It doesn’t get as warm as you described maybe due to the faster heat cycle and ability to point the heat more in a direction.

@@northernhigh420 It was my first time using both devices. I need more experience. I wasn't sure what portion of the HyperDyn should be placed at the correct portion in the ISpire. I did move it around a lot trying to get the HyperDyn to click. What you used looked more precise.

@@patriciaribaric3409 with the wand from my experience just takes a quite a long time to click the Hyperdyn. I Think that it probably has more to do with the limitations of the wand itself. The Hyperdyn does take significantly longer than a normal vap cap to heat on my inductor compared to the regular vap caps though. I do find it to be really precise for directing heat where I want it quickly. I am curious how it compares to say the forge.
