Actual rail pressure 40 I noticed on the live data on my Carly app says fuel quantity control valve is 28.6 will the culprit be my HPFP? It’s a 2010 tiguan I had it for 14 years now it never gave me bad times I noticed for the past few months there is like a misfire jerking sound at the beginning of acceleration when the car is stopped if I press on the gas and gain speed lightly it makes a jerky sound but if I hit the pedal a bit harder it doesn’t What you think? Should I change the HPFP because it’s still the factory one

Ok, very interesting. (I have exactly the same problem) Question is, with no power other than 12v to pin (I think) 16 how does the VCDS communicate with the car? Ross-Tech website suggests you need ignition on (ie steering unlocked) but you clearly didn’t, so how did you do it? Tried an OBD-II but that couldn’t connect, as no power to ECUs….

Ok i cut the red black wire after i cleared the error code. The car started up fine and i can drive. But i have a red ignition lock warning flashing at all times now....cant i get rid of that somehow???

Had the same issue over this weekend and changing the cam follower did the trick. It sounded exactly like this yet when the hpfp was taken out there was barely any scoring on the cam follower and camshaft. What I did find was that the cam follower was missing one ball in the bearing...it looked as good as new

Have the same problem, not sure its the pump or the relay. Started with long cranks and EPC light... Then engine would cutoff at idle. Now no start at all

@@iconoclast281 I’m in the process of removing my dash and I removed my entire harness your getting moisture and your contacts may have corrosion on them

@@kadeemmeggett6324 in my case in turned out to be the crank shaft position sensor. I have suspected it for a while. I'm just glad it failed at home and not while I was on the road. The car is now 16 years. Have done a lot of work on the engine.

@@estefanyolibasechavarria3632 crank sensor had gone bad and so ECU was preventing engine from starting. It might be a different issue for you, just get the car properly diagnosed before replacing the wrong part.
