Hey! Workshop manual says that You need a special tool for setting pick-up coil clearance from flywheel. Thy do not mention gap measurement but they say that pick-up coil needs to be as close to special tool as possible, so that pick-up coil does not rub against tool if You rotate the tool. From that I assume that the tool mimic that raised part (trigger) on flywheel that passes pick-up coil (when rotating) and gives it "signal". Shortly - move it as close as possible, so that flywheel does not hit it. You can do it by turning flywheel to a position where that raised part on it (trigger) is where pick-up coil is. Then find one spot on engine case that is preset on both - engine case and alternator cover, as close to pick-up coil as possible. Then measure distance between that point and the tip of the pick-up coil on alternator cover. Take same measure between the point and trigger on flywheel. Adjust pick-up coil measurement so that it is SHORTER 0.3-0.5mm. If You put alternator cover back then before trying to crank engine with starter, try to turn engine over by hand. You can do it if you remove that little round cover that is on the alternator cover. It's tightened down with 3 screws. Under that cover You can see flywheel bolt, turn from there with socket and wrench. I hope it helps You to solve the problem. Pick-up coils are sold separately. eBay helps.

From 250bar to 170bar it gets about 30 shots with 20gr ZAN slugs (38fpe from .177).

True, spare parts are hard to find for these bikes. But I've found some from eBay (.com; .co.uk; .de). Gasket sets and seals can be found even from Amazon. What spares do You need?

Hi JB! I have a google photos gallery of my TE610E project, scroll through it and towards the end there are some pictures of that Keihin in the bike. But long story short - it fitted almost with no modification. The airbox side of the carb was a bit bigger in outside diameter, but fitted. Most modification is needed with gas tank (little tank, not the big oversized tank, I switched back to small tank with that Keihin. Did not want to mess with that rare oversized OEM tank). Keihin FCR is wider at the top and choke is on the left side of the carb (black knob - choke, red knob hot start knob, never used that). You need to heat the underside of the tank with heat gun and make room for carb. Sounds like big hassle but performance of the bike (if right jetting) is snappier, more power, better carb response. I tried to look at the link you posted for your photo gallery of the FCR fitting to the 610, but it came up with a 404 error, page/link not found, so I cannot access it, any chance you could redo a new link or a new posting for these please? Also, is there any chance that you could advise me on the final jetting & settings etc that you used to set up the carb on the TE610? It would really help as I use the bike to get to work, so once I start on it I need to be able to get it to function as quick as poss to be able to use it & I can also pre-order any carb parts needed before I do so which would be a great help. On another topic, do you know if the Ducati Energia ignition system for the SMS/TE 610's (1998-2003) is compatible to be used on an engine running the Kokusan Denko version? If it is possible, does it involve changing ALL of the ignition parts: CDi? Coil? Rotor? Stator? Pick-up Coil? In one go, or will it work with just some of them changed? & if so do you know which ones are compatible with both systems? I'm asking because it seems as though there are Ducati Energia systems which are much cheaper & more widely available than any of the Kokusan Denko ones. Do you have any videos of how to remove & change the rotor & set up the timing properly on the 610 as well? Any help or advice with any of this would be greatly appreciated. All the best JB

Did that last spring (~200km ago), gaps are in spec. Timing chain, chain tensioner and chain slides are replaced maybe 700km ago. More like a carb tuning issue.

Do You mean Maverick second regulator tube? The plenum itself has no holes to leak from. It's just a plain tube with threaded ends. I had no leaks.

@@paavokaleva I ordered the the power plenum from a fx maverick and it has a small hole for the atmospheric pressure. Even in the description of the part it says people are using them for the dreamline plenum..

@@MichiganAirgunner I looked at my Dreamline and found that little hole in the plenum. That hole is at the threaded part of the plenum. If air leaks out from it then O-ring between main block and plenum is not sealing good enough. Hi, KRAiT has same tuning capability as Dreamline. But if You want to change caliber then it is easier to do it with Dreamline. Dreamline also has option to built it into another form - tactical, classic, bullpup, lite, GRS (classic with another riflestock). But what I really like about KRAiT is barrel - CZ accuracy! No messing around with different barrel liners like in FX. If I had to choose only one airgun between KRAiT and Dreamline, I would go with the KRAiT.

It’s not compact it’s L version. In video You see me installing that shorter version of Arca rail. But on thumbnail and at the end of the video You see picture of the gun with longer version of Arca rail.

This exact gun is with choked barrel. Before I bought this gun I asked from AirMaks arms about barrels and they said that ALL .177cal barrels are choked. In bigger caliber HighPower (HP) guns have unchoked barrels. It is good to ask retailer about barrel, or ask for unchoked barrel, before You buy one.
