Nice airbrush demo David, how many do you have? I only have one so need to be sure it's ultra clean when switching from a dark to a light color 😊

Hey David. I have 5 that I use on a regular basis. I typically use each one for a specific purpose, but I've gotten pretty good and cleaning them, especially going from dark to light colors. This particular airbrush seems pretty easy to clean in-between and also makes it easy to switch between needle sizes. I hope this answers your questions. If not, let me know. Thanks again for watching. Have a great week.

A great looking paint scheme. You assembled the kit nicely. I just did the Kenworth Alaskan Hauler and the Kenworth W-925 AMT kits. I get exactly what you mean, with regards to assembly. The kits are a challenge. I had to cut my hood on the hauler and make brackets and modify the kit mounts to get the panels to even fit, let a lone line up nicely. I must say that it is nice to have these kits available, after some effort they do make a nice model. Your models are good to see and watch. I just posted a video on my channel. My next kit is the Peterbilt Wrecker by you guessed it, AMT.

Thank you for the kind words. I agree, it's nice that they are still making these kits. I also agree that they need some improvements and that they can be a challenge. But hey, whats life without a few challenges? :^) Thanks for watching and commenting. have a great week.

I live in the south where it is very humid. I had seen it is important to drain the tank with every use. It has a visual water-collection tube on it so I can see the water and drain it every time. After 2 -3 months I was getting water in the line very fast when using. I had never drained the drain on the bottom of the tank because the plus was VERY tight so I thought it was not the drain and just used the outside visible drain...every time. Well when I starting having problems I got a wrench and opened the drain, man was it tight, and i has 3-4 ozs of brown water with dirt come out. I retightened the drain finger tight. Now i use BOTH drains, the one on the tank EVRY TIME and the visual one only as needed.
@PlasticImaginationWorkshop
@PlasticImaginationWorkshop Ай бұрын
I am glad you pulled that plug and drained. I have to drain mine once in about every ten times I use it but, my area isn't very humid. I keep an eye on my glass moisture trap and it hardly ever has anything in it but the tank will have about a tablespoon's worth of water in it. This is still one of the best compressors I have ever owned and it's still working great. Thanks for watching and commenting. Have a great week.

I’m about 3/4 of the way done with this kit. And i ran into the same things. I under stand they’re old kits. But if the instructions weren’t so horrible I could deal with the quality. But both are pretty bad. Lots extra work. I’m like you I like a challenge but come on lol. Good work on this looks awesome.

Looks good though but back in the late 60s this is the same kite one of the hardest kits I have not built one in a while I like Revel kits And Itaileri Trucks better detailing and moulding .I have put together many AMT kits even from they where AMT-MPC there instructions are hard but after so many builds I under stand them. So I can look at a page and knowing the step by memory and just a glance thats all ,I have owned a few truck myself and just stop driving a few years ago building model trucks help me as a driver to one the test for class A driver license you have to explain and point out the pre trip inspection and check many like the s cam brake play air and on . The models are the same as the trucks just smaller and its up to you how much detail air lines plumed and on keep modeling and always enjoy you can always build another one the same or kit base for parts and build up your spare parts ,

Will it also remove the heavy lacquer that is under the chrome? Many chromed parts have a layer of a yellowy lacquer under the chrome itself.
@PlasticImaginationWorkshop
@PlasticImaginationWorkshop Ай бұрын
So... most of the time, it removes everything, and you are left with bare plastic. That said, I have had a few kits that leave a yellowish color on the parts. I used to let them soak longer-a lot longer-and most of it would come off. However, I don't do that anymore; I just prime and paint the parts. The yellowish residue isn't an issue once they are primed and painted. I hope this answers your question and helps. Thanks for watching, and have a great day.

I've enjoyed your channel but Respectfully. lately it's turned more into "informercials". There are plenty of youtube channels for that kind of content. Please go back to building. You're a skilled builder and you should focus on that. Of course, this is only my opinion. Take care
@PlasticImaginationWorkshop
@PlasticImaginationWorkshop Ай бұрын
Thanks for the input, Tom. I don't want it to be an "infomercial" sort of channel, but I am trying to find a good balance. It's still a work in progress. I am building gradually, and building takes time, especially since I don't want to rush a build just to make content. More builds are on the way. Thanks for your input; I really appreciate it. Also, thanks for watching, and have a great week.
