I love this piece. I played it for an honor band maybe 2 weeks ago and it was definitely my favorite out of the pair. The “Valor” section had be tearing up and it’s just an amazing part of the song. Music really sparks joy to those who enjoy it

Got the privilege of playing this piece for the man himself last weekend! I thought it went pretty well for the band only having like two days or less of practice, I was even able to get him to sign my sheet music right before the concert!

Same! I performed at that festival on Saturday and we played one of his pieces and I got him to sign my sheet music!! He was even kind enough to show up early and give us a few tips on how we could improve the song right before the concert! I also got to tell him how much I enjoyed hearing Dope for the first time which he really appreciated.

I love this piece so much!!! At our school we as student announce the next piece. I’m gonna announce this one as like a winter gift for my gf. Obviously this piece is about happiness and love and I wanna show her that I love her. I literally listened to it in class while my director played it for us and I almost cried thinking of her 😊

I put this on loop and take five or so items or old drawings and draw/redraw them as I listen. I've made some pretty cool characters that way. Some are cute and cuddly beings perfect for a kid's show, and some are odd, spindly things rather like Tim Burton's work. It's amazing how each little part in this musical piece can, when isolated, inspire whole new styles and personalities of a new drawing!

I got nominated to play in an honor band and this is one of the pieces we’re playing. I play flute and automatically fell in love with the melody and ostinato (mainly because i played it) but my concert is tomorrow 🤠i’m also a sophomore in high school

i love this song so much, no one will ever understand how much bro. i played this last year with an honor band, and i IMMEDIATELY fell head over heels. i was a freshman, 3rd chair trumpet, and i got to play the 1st part (it’s fun either way) with a junior and a senior as 2 and 1 chair respectively. i absolutely love this song and i can’t even begin to express how much i would love to play it again for the 1st time. best song i’ve ever played and probably will ever play
