Fort Henry was no way as impressive as some of these pictures. There is also not any walled cities nearby. Also the ships were from a earlier time. Most of the wooden ships were paddlewheelers and the most important boat were the iron clad ones. Your script was better except for some pauses. Some of these photos are suspect. I wonder if some photos are from foriegn countries and foreign peoples. Architecture seems incorrect for U.S. at that time frame. Men in helmets? Never saw a photo from the civil war of troops wearing helmets. Can someone verify that troops in the U.S. civil war had access to helmets? The A.I. narration all over the place, on the iinternet, here at KZbin, is grotesque.

As a descendent of one of those captured at Fort Donelson, I see Floyd and Pillow as men who should have never been in command of anything including cleaning out an outhouse.

Some points The battle is called Wilson’s Creek but took place along Wilson creek. This was the first campaign of the war, starting before the Bulls Run campaign and was the second major battle in time, second confederate victory. Missouri did pass articles of succession in government in exile.

Convenient how they left out the part where Lincoln ordered flotillas of soldiers to invade a southern state prior to the war beginning. SC told the Union leadership that they would consider a landing of soldiers to be an act of war as it would be reinforcing a position that shut down their port. Effectively, the Union tried to seize South Carolina's port...again, for money. The Union Naval commander disagreed with Lincoln's order from his cabinet as it would kick off a civil war. The Army commander, a Major, disobeyed the Naval commander and landed the troops kicking off the battle. So no, the South didn't fire the first shots. The north unlawfully seized a port by force of arms.

It was NOT a revolution, it was a US invasion of a sovereign territory, the US first insisted the British give them Oregon, the British said "come and get it if u can." the US declined the offer and INSTEAD invaded Texas, this was NOT a war of freedom, quite the contrary, the US were the invaders !

As a Missouri armchair historian I offer a couple thoughts. Show only period relevant photos. Stay objective in your narrative. Missouri had the second most battles of the civil war. Missouri was accepted by the confederacy and represents the 12th star on the flag.
