The shape has obviously changed and having had the FK8 one, the FL5 one is way more sturdier in terms of the bar flexing

I think I used 1000grit sand paper, just use something light enough to just take the coated surface off to make it smoother 👌

Those look great in the sunlight! this vid may have convinced me to pull the trigger on these for my white ILX. Obviously they’re some of the lightest wheels out there but I also want something that looks nice and these def accomplished that. How are you liking these performance wise?

Lighter wheels for me always felt like better response, turn in was crisp and overall on 18s the car does feel a lot more comfortable due to the different profile tyres on the 18s 😉

Thanks for the video, I still found there was a slight rattle/buzz during acceleration. So I stuck a couple of pieces on the metal bracket and a strip behind the infotainment. Worked wonders 😊 1:15

Disabling it in R+ will still keep the “agile handling assist” system on. That’s the one that uses the rear brakes to “help” with rotation. It will eat rear brake pads on track. Doing the ‘pedal dance’ will fully disable the VSA computer - no traction control, no stability control and no agile assist. As an added bonus - it can be done in any mode so you can have the suspension setup you want. And no exaggerated brake wear.

I like to be short and specific about the parts. I honestly dislike fluffed up videos with all talk no go and thats why the videos were edited quickly as these were starting to hit close to 12-19 mins. There will be a full video of the car when time and weather permits but there is a shorts video also showing the car with the kit for now 😉

Out of interest, did you have any difficulty (or require more force) with closing the hood once you had fitted this? It seems like the rubber moulding from around the main intake section presses hard up against the hood it is being closed. I definitely can't drop it from 2-3 inches anymore to close it..

No I wouldn’t call this fragile. It’s same material as the bumper so it’s not too worrying.
