The Hollywood or acting community back then was more cohesive socially than it is now.

Is it me or is the clock on this show really really primitive? Cause At 5:21 when the clock goes past 19 seconds, it resets to 10 briefly before going to 20. Same thing happens when the clock counts down.

Oh, that was fun! I know Arte was always cast as the lovable loser, in contrast to Jim's lady-killer persona, but he did get the girl often enough to be a 1960s secret agent in good standing. 😛 I particularly liked the one with the lady Dr. Frankenstein (was that Ida Lupino?). Jim is missing for most of the episode, so it is really Arte running the show, and dealing with his girlfriend's mom! Delicious! 👏👏👏
