You are. Definitely in the right location.. My daughter had a photo shoot there. My daughter wore a big white dress sitting in the grass close to the tower. She said that she felt somebody kept tugging and pulling on her.. to the point that it made her sick to her stomach, and she asked if she could leave..

I once lived in the Decatur - Hatselle & Black Warrior and all points between the area for 30 years. Every Fall when the leaves started tuning to yellow or brown to gold or just shads of red, My children & I allways loved to travel that road to view all those colors that formed the tunnel the road traveled through. Never did we hear the Cry-baby crying though, and we tried. But I must say, Every region, area & town around Alabama has a crybaby or lost lover story to tell. Read the 13 Gost of Alabama book to see examples. My daughter & her family lived in one of those houses too.

That’s true, I was told, that it was a young couple trying to get home during a storm and lost control of their car. They found the baby 2 weeks later. Just past the train tracks on the left used to be a farm, where devil worshippers hung out. Back in the late 80’s, I drove by, and seen about 30 of them naked, just walking around.

Tons and tons of abandoned schools in Louisiana. I think they should turn them into apartments or something for the homeless but I was told they won’t bc the majority were closed bc of asbestos.

It’s Greenwell springs Louisiana. I am 4th generation resident. There is no ghost. Just supposedly devil worshipers. The people who own the homes past the trestle made up the ledgers bc they were sick of kids going back there at night and partying. I want to say they started the story in the 60’s or 70’s. It was around when my mom went to central high in the 70’s and my husband heard it in 86 when he went to baker high. Yes the train track is still in use. It’s A-meet river.

I used to work at Kayo Gas at the foot of Hartselle mountain. My friends and I used to play on that dirt road spinning out and getting sideways in our cars. We would ride on the trunk and grab a vine and swing off of a moving car. We made up the name crybaby holler after hearing a screech owl. We would act crazy just to scare the girls. We also had another place called gunpoint on Redhat road. We called it "red light ". There was a TVA tower with red lights on it and we made a story that if you stared at this red light it would start coming at you. It is no telling how many cars were tore up trying to leave that place. We had a similar place in Mooresville called " moonlight bay." We would see ghosts in the cemetery next an old abandoned church. When you live in a small sleepy town like Decatur then you make up stuff for fun. Decatur used to be in the largest dry County in Alabama. All of the teen age population knew each other even from rival schools.
