it's so great to see Wil Cooksey in that group photo at the beginning. I still own my 2007 C6 3LT that was built under his guidance when he was plant manager and it's the best car I've ever had!

How come all 3 American car companies can not build a small good car for most of us??😎

GM keeps saying the LT7 has 76mm turbos but in reality they're more like 62mm turbos - the compressor wheels are 62mm inducer and 76mm exducer. To be fair, there are a lot of different naming/sizing conventions used to describe turbos from various manufacturers, but if you put these next to an "actual" 76mm turbo you're going to be pretty disappointed 😉 And that's fine bc anyone who knows anything about turbos will tell you that twin 76mm turbos would make zero sense for the LT7's combination of displacement, boost levels, and power, so I just think it's weird that GM marketing feels compelled to oversell their size when we were already more-than-pleasantly surprised to learn the ZR1 makes over 1000 horsepower.

So what will the MSRP be? My ERay allocation is coming soon and I need to decide if I am going to go with ZR1 instead!
@CarStory3 күн бұрын
It will probably start around $175k but you know dealers are going to mark them up.
@2020matrix83 күн бұрын
WAY more than the Eray is the correct answer 😊

I have a signed placard in my office at work of a C8 celebrating $1 billion in accessory sales. I put it up as a constant reminder of my goals & watching this, it means that much more to me. Congratulations on a very well-deserved induction.

What a great guy. He gave me my very first ride in a C5, at the Birthday Bash. Answered all my questions and he's a good driver, as we slid through the rolling hills of Ky. Got out of the car and said to the director (1 of 2) of the C5 Registry, "Dan, that guy will be the head engineer someday". Actually, it was an easy call.

These guys who designed this gas guzzler don't give a goddamn about you car buffs in the comments! Do they answer or thank any of you ? And aren't the American auto makers supposed to stop building gas guzzlers? I know the car buffs like it but we absolutely can't live without these cars ? I think these cars are sexy too but it's time we change!

Thank you Tadge for all of your efforts in bringing Corvette owners dreams to life. 10 years on with our C7 and we love it as much as the day we picked it up at the museum. Road trips across the USA, on track and just folks commenting on the Night Race Blue. It has been awesome. Happy Retirement.

Tadge, I bought my first Corvette almost 20 years ago @ the age of 21 and now I’ve lost count I’m on #30 something. I can’t thank you enough for all you did for Corvette and for continuing to elevate the brand to a level we never thought possible. Thank you thank you thank you. I cannot wait to get my c8 zr1, that car alone is beyond a GOAT status car that you developed! Thank you again boss and enjoy retirement. I hope to get the chance to meet you someday.

Congrads Tadge! Can only say with the C8 roll out and constant constraints in being able to order the options you want on a 100K car - GM and the PM Harlan fell real short. Cant believe Harlan was not removed from his PM role around this car. Moved myself over to Porsche after being a long time Corvette owner but cant understand how folks order a car and have to settle because your options are not available. Later GM.
