This song needs to be redone - I wish they go back and re do all the old EP ones - even go out on a small intimate showings with them.

It really does feel like worship. Not singing his songs and words as celebrity worship with no meaning behind it, but everyone there supporting him and that feeling he's put to art and we all share. Its a network of emotion rising with foam at the top to help keep him/them afloat.

When I first heard this song, I thought it was about suicide, specifically about someone on the verge of killing themselves and begging their loved one to talk them out of it (and I still think it can be interpreted as such). Now that I know the band's mythology, it does sound a lot more like he's singing to a deity. Not even just to Sleep. You could read it as him singing to God, period.

The album version is great in it's own way, IMO, but I do prefer this more traditional "ballad" version. Especially with the choir of women at the end.

What an amazing gig - I know you had a riot right up at the barrier. I was closer to the back of the pit. Kudos to Showsec still keeping their standards up at the show and helping out the surfers. I used to love working the pit barrier - it's just weird being on the other side of it! :P

Paid £20 extra for early entry, but honestly at least in Leeds if you turned up within 2 hours of doors you could get the first 2 rows easily

[Verse 1] Just let me know If nowadays, the outer rounds of heaven don't Keep up on the charm offensive anymore Failing to remind you what you're living for I'd give anything to borrow your indifference I'd drink you in To temper your belief in all my promises To swallow my desire and choke on it [Chorus 1] 'Cause it still makes my blood run cold To remember what they did before The stories that you never told to me [Verse 2] Oh, bird, worry not The blessings rain on battles in the heaven's arms And my polite offenses won't last for long The eager apprehension is wearing off I'd give anything To balance your conviction with certainty To fall asleep without you lying next to me To sever my connection with everything [Chorus 2] 'Cause it still makes my blood run cold To remember what I did before The stories that you never told to me And it still makes my blood run thin To remember what you are to him And I live like I've got missing limbs For you
