I think you still need a bead with a bigger hole or the 1.5 size crochet hook with not go through it to get the yarn in and through☺️

Hi, thank you for a detailed and clear tutorial... it's really easy to follow especially for a beginner. One question, you skip three chains before anchoring the pompom on your work.... if I take an initial chain of 5 before starting the pompom would I then need to leave 5 chains on the main work where I'm making the border?
