Is there any particular reason why you use questionmarks instead of the names entered onto the wheel? Not very transparent, and nor is the system you use.. I had no idea what ticket number I had 🤷🏼♂️
@MasterofmaltАй бұрын
Hi Jamie - you're not the first person to ask this, so we've had a chat and decided to reveal all the names on our wheels going forward. The wheel we use has improved the way they display since we started doing these Comps. The number is actually just your order number (so if you've bought multiple tickets then it will appear multiple times on wheel). Thanks for your feedback! 👍
@jamiebimboreynolds6778Ай бұрын
@Masterofmalt those wheels are easily manipulated that's why I mentioned it, Google's random number generator is a much better method, you assign a ticket number to each purchase and the number drawn wins.

For whiskey enthusiasts, blue label can come across as underwhelming. They then attribute that to a lack of quality, and over inflated price point. The fact of the matter is, the blue label blend is a blend of scotch whiskeys dating 24-60 years old. Its flavors are subtle, which makes it more enjoyable to savour.

Sad. I love Ardbeg but even with the ability to afford insane prices it’s wrong. They are taking advantage.

Now it only they would stop producing special expressions ridiculously priced and it is insanely priced. Spectacular is lovely but it’s not worth what Ardbeg is gouging.

I’m curious to know if they had access to any Port Ellen new make spirit from before the closing of the distillery. So they would be able to compare past and present and get it as close as possible.

I'm lost for words, having just won both the Tomintoul 25 and the Appleton Hearts 1984 in this one draw, when I already won the Appleton 2002 and 2003 in the draw a few weeks ago 😮My dad's 80th birthday is coming up in May and he loves his whisky so I'll be gifting that to him, but the Appleton will take a very special place in my (growing) rum collection, and drunk on a very special occasion 😀Thank you so very much 😍

Could you email all entrants to tell them who won each competition? I’ve never had an email to say the draw was complete, and I can’t find a list on your site

I've been drinking scotch for 3 months and have been building up to buy a bottle of a peated Islay recently. My first was the Ardbeg 10 and the initial nose was a huge WHAM to my senses... turpentine. It smells like turpentine that an oil painter would use.I hope it'll slowly grow on me haha. I'll be patient with it for now.

Hi team, love these updates and competition draws, just wondering, it would be great to have a shared document as to the entrants, as proof of ticket purchase or post free ticket admissions actually getting put into the draws for this, as we see no evidence for how many times a persons name is getting added to the draw. e.g I buy several tickets, i'd like to see visual confirmation of this happening in the draw or if I send in a postcard ticket, there's no confirmation that they get added to the draw.

Tried it for the first time yesterday... after not being really impressed by the 12, the 15 was a pleasant surprise... so much better. Old school sherry. I can taste the spices but I didn't find it particularly "spicy" per se, very easy on the tongue. Alcohol really well integrated. Really nutty compared to either the 12 or the 105. Could definitely taste some Tobacco. I need to explore it more but first impression was very positive (I was keeping expectations really low for this one). cheers!

@Dani272895 ай бұрын
Blue Label contains blends of different Scotches between the ages of 8 and 20 years the last I remember checking but when it comes to a blended whisky the youngest whisky in the blend will be the final products age statement (at least according to whisky snobs)

Hello and Greetings! I want to discuss something that is practical and necessary. What if I asked you and your team to invent the next generation of truly advanced wines, beers, and liquors? What would you say after giving it some really serious contemplation? These are the features that you could go after --- utilizing science, experimentation, teamwork, dialogue, and patience: 1. No liver damage. 2. No fatty liver. You can learn about how fat gets stored and removed from the liver by watching Dr. Eric Berg's KZbin videos on this topic. 3. No bloating or flatulence or burping. That means a change in carbonation or the elimination of carbonation, and possibly other factors I currently have no knowledge on. 4. No sugar or carbohydrates (sugars, starches, and fibers). 5. No disruption in the human microbiome in terms of creating an imbalance in bacteria or fungi. Alcohol appears to be a strong contributor to oral thrush (oral candidiasis), seborrheic dermatitis, and other versions of excess in malevolent fungi. There are scientific papers on this topic, and non-scientific literature that could point you in the right direction. 6. Add extra packaging protection to prevent "dirty handling" by merchants and transportation mediums. 7. Nuanced flavors never before discovered or released to the public. 8. International access/distribution. 9. You don't have to "guarantee" these items to customers or anyone else. These are achievable goals that may gradually achieve fruition over weeks, months, years, and yes - even decades. 10. Some forms of alcohol consumption, especially among alcoholics, can deplete very specific vitamins and minerals, including salt, magnesium, and potassium. Alcohol, just like so-called "energy shots," can almost certainly be fortified with vitamins and minerals to off-set this very vital imbalance. The vitamins that are probably most likely to be needed are C, the entire B series of vitamins, and D. 11. No depletion of Hydrochloric Acid in the stomach. 12. Invite consumers to share their knowledge. Especially alcoholics. Safeguard their privacy while treating them with dignity and respect - with the hope that they will reciprocate equally. Cheers!

To clarify - the winning order numbers are to differentiate between people with similar names (as we only announce first name and first initial of surname). Multiple tickets in a single order are of course still multiple entries 👍
