@@insag777 'Bari' still means house, no? Also, no. They're called Rajbaris because the British used to give them the 'Raj' title - making them 'Rajas' by degree, and not by lineage or royalty, hence 'Rajbaris'. The tourists didn't do anything. It was 'Raja' Nabakrishna Deb, hence Shobhabazar 'Rajbari', but just Ramdulal De, hence just Ramdulal Nibas. They were both landowners. Please get your facts straight.

Wow you did the early morning video in the perfect place. Ballygunge area is so much beautiful in early morning cause it's not crowded as it's in morning yet not almost deserted like nighttime. The area is posh and old yet modern so you'll get a mixture of both north and south kolkata feel. Edit : Also thanks for the high picture quality.
