The further out on a spike (away from the main mandelbrot) you stay, the simpler the pattern, less time it takes for your computer to do the calculations, and the easier for you to get a very deep zoom.

Escher's solid is the official name for this shape. It's basically a rhombic dodecahedron but with all 12 sides extended to a point.

Somewhat, though my main interest is in designing original puzzles. Probably around 75% of my puzzle collection are original puzzles I designed.

Same. I wish the convention was to call the usual "circle" puzzles something else, but we sadly don't have naming conventions in the twisty puzzle community to intuitively label and distinguish the two kinds of circles you can have on the faces.

How about a "cubic" version of Rhombic Raptor? :) so essentially a "circle" Raptor cube with free turning baby faces?
