I'm the same mate. I keep the truck I drive as clean as possible (despite the other grubs I have to share the thing with from time to time) because I take pride in what I do and I feel a lot more comfortable driving in a clean truck. I'll also be washing my motorbike this weekend even though it's going to rain here all weekend because keeping it clean helps with dirt not getting into places it shouldn't and I maintain the chain when I wash it. It's like the old adage says, take care of your equipment and it'll take care of you. Great video mate. I've been watching your videos for a few months now and I've been really enjoying them. Hi Shane, I'm a caravan owner & what shits me is when you see a pilot car, they dont let us know anything about the wide load coming thats out of sight. they let the trucks know, but not the caravans.

A place I worked in the mid-80s the warehouse guys used to race the electric pallet trucks inside the warehouse when it was dead quiet, I got back to the factory one day and parked ready to be unloaded but no one was about so I walked in the warehouse just in time to see the warehouse manager and the transport manager racing each other on pallet trucks, nearly everyone who worked there was watching, about a year later the transport manager and all the drivers were made redundant, they had a general haulier doing the truck work.

Taxi story. Back in the 1990s, LPG Falcon taxis were common. We had one come in to work that "kept cutting out". E-series Falcons had a plastic shroud to direct cooling air around the battery, and if it was removed, the battery could overheat. Because the shroud was missing and the battery kept overheating, they moved it to the boot (near the LPG tank). The battery wasn't bolted down properly and from time to time the positive lead would arc on the body, causing the engine computer to shut down. It had been happening so long that the panel next to the battery looked like someone had been practising arc welding. It was lucky that the battery hadn't exploded from being shorted out. 💩
