i’m confused. you titled this series “the top 5 guitar apps for the ipad” yet you seem to not like either of them so far. which i agree with. they are old and are not up to current standards. how can a 12 year old app even make a top 5 current list? there must be dozens more apps out there
@TheBloggingMusician2 күн бұрын
That's just the thing. There aren't very many decent guitsr apps out for iPad, so that's why these two have made it into my top 5

Hi,I just watched your original unboxing review,and I totally suggest switching to 9s on your first restring,to me it makes the guitar sound better ( personally) and it’s way easier for bends etc,and as I commented Jimmy Page played 9s on his Les Paul’s,and he wasn’t that bad for a beginner 😂p.s you got the best colour I got the iced tea also 👌🏻😻

I bought the exact same guitar,specs,finish and I totally agree it’s beautiful ❤ the finish is exquisite,,,,I bought it September 2023…on a deal…no regrets…. I wonder what the £1100 one sounds and feels like ! That one has custom bucker pickups My only complaint are the frets,next restring I will have them polished up,for cosmetic,reasons ….and checked over ,like a m.o.t,I changed the strings to 9s from 10s,because I have weak fingers and for me the bending etc is much easier,if it was good enough string size for Jimmy Page ,it’s good enough for me 👌🏻

Thanks for watching. The top of the line EPI had a strange taper on the pots. Almost on / off. Couldn't say the tone was much better and the finish was thinner.

Don't know if this would make a difference, but the Fender Ultra blocks have offset (not in the middle) adjusting screw holes at the bottom.
@TheBloggingMusician20 күн бұрын
Yeah the offset Intonation screws means that they don't get in the way of the string, although I don't have this issue anyway.

I totally agree with you. If you dont like the floating trem buy something else. Its not a true strat otherwise.
@Mark_Young27 күн бұрын
Totally agree bent steel are just horrible. I needed to change a bridge and I'd never tried bent steel saddles (always had block ones for over 40 years) and was persuaded by the "improved sound" argument. I'm used to doing intonation adjustments on tensioned strings and have never had an issue with this but you can't do it on bent saddles. The area of the thread that the screw is engaging with is too small and I would just damage the thread if I tried. Detuning the strings to make adjustments is time consuming. I'm changing back to block saddles.

btw, the cleans on my LPs are equally beautiful to my Strats though different as you say. I use either for everything from country, to blues to metal. SRV Strat Gary Moore LP, David Gilmour Strat, Joe Bonamassa LP...my favs...but I can wick off a Gilmour lead on a LP or SRV riff on a LP and no one complains...although I never really chased any musician's tone...to be exact... although I like to get close so I will usually use a Strat for Gilmour SRV and a LP for Moore and JB...BUT as far as which is better...100% subjective...as I stated in the FB group, one person prefers this over that, or likes them equal...or doesn't like either...Good video, valid preference and reasons as to why. £500 seems fair price in my opinion. Thinking of ordering one of these as i had one of the old plus top pros which i let go as im a strat guy. Think that was a rash decision just based on the weight of the guitar because to this day it was the best guitar ive had outta the box, didn't need anything done. Regret that now and need a les Paul fix so if these are better at £500 whats to lose.

I don't know, I have both but I love the block steel better. Bent steel is not right because the string support is limited (no groove to make the string stable). They should be replaced immediately. Block Saddles are better and Roller saddles are the best.

Just buy a Zoom G11...lol
@darryldoesit9663 ай бұрын
Your just nippicking this great board to death. i own this and several other of zooms processors...and love them all. You are missing the whole point in why zoom designed this effect board this way. The G6 was introduced AFTER their flagship unit the G11 which i also own and love. This G6 was desingned to be the "little brother" to the G11, because the G11 was so successful and zoom needed to make a unit packed with most of the same fetures of the G11 BUT give the buyers a smaller AND more affordable unit mainly. I agree on SOME of your complaints tho with the G6 here, but if you spend enough time becoming aware how to use it then it gets much simpler. Most of yourcomplaints could be resolved by BUYING a G11 unit. AND as far as all you comparisons against the Line 6 units why would zoom copy them? Ive owned most of the Line amps and effects units too, but i think they sound horrible and very cheaply built units...YOU should just use a basic REAL amp and pedals probably...lol. OR spend more money and buy a G11 unit !!! As i said - i own both units but i set them each up differently. Amazing Zoom products !!! I also own most the other big name processors too like Boss, Digitech, Korg, ect...I got rid of my Line 6 gear last year. (over priced junk).

I have had mine for about 45 days. For the money, this unit is well worth it for its capabilities. A slight learning curve, but nothing you can't figure out. The only thing I wish it had was the ability to split the signal chain into 2 channels for left and right. If you want to ditch expensive amps, cabs, and effects pedals and set up just about any tone your looking for and run it to an frfr speaker... this unit if for you. like eiou12345 said below, I would love to see a GP-300 come out soon.

New update 1.4.7 or something like that gives you much more stomp capabilities just going to global settings, and from four then you have eight stomps, and if you put the volume at the end of this signal chain there all the way to the front of the signal chain next to the wall paddle there will be no latency
