This series was so fun to watch! You should make a video following the cookbook recipes! Esp the lucky lunch, in the cookbook it’s more of a ceviche dish then,,, plain cucumber with tortilla chip on top 😅lol but I do appreciate your efforts of following the in game recipe and being true to how a farmer would cook like making breads from scratch

Really enjoyed the series and it's the first time I'm gonna rewatch cooking videos for their entertainment value (and partially because I forgot what recipes I liked enough to want to try them). Hope to see more from you, there are plenty of games with food and you can always ignore their official cookbooks.

I saw the glazed yam recipe and immediately knew youd get a few comments from americans on it haha. Im not sure how other people do it, but for carrots and sweet potatoes, we cut them into slices and steam until undercooked. Then, add a mixture of honey, spices, maybe sugar?, and water, and let it cook until the sauce is thick and coats the vegetable.

With the "glazed yams," that is an American southern dish. I can see why your version wasn't very good. If you would like to try again out of curiosity, or to do the yams justice, try using brown sugar, cinnamon, mace, salt, and other fall esque seasonings. Yams is supposed to have an earthy yet sweet taste that pairs with Thanksgiving and grandma's house. You can find more recipes by searching "candied yams." In other versions of the recipe you will find marshmallows added to the top. Have fun!

i love seeing how you adapt the recipes! like i think the roots platter is supposed to be a hash, like fried potatoes, but your french version is really neat :) i htought tom kha soup was spicy? but this recipe looks like something i could eat and enjoy a lot, because capcasin kills me :( im most impressed by the seafoam pudding actually

I have never eaten a ripe mango. I need to fix this. That carp surprise is very creative. I love the iridium spoon still. I didn't think the tropical curry was going to be good, but that looks quite nice indeed. ooh glazed yams. That's an American thing I am sure. I would pass on it too! I was always curious about what Tom Kha soup was about. I might try this one out sometime... Oof Lucky Lunch. OOF. Wait, are you from France? I'm not surprised that snails aren't that popular. xD I probably would have just roasted some roots and called it good. This is much more interesting to watch though! Cookies! Honestly aside from the inconsistent sizes, the first batch still looks good. I once tried espresso and almost cried. And I really like coffee. Seafoam pudding sounded really weird in the game. And it is weird. florets. I'm not sure why, but its broccoli or cauliflower florets. :) I think the algae soup only counts if you eat all that cooked seaweed ;) (too cruel?) Respect for the homemade praline paste. I am obssessed with the stuff. Respect for using silicone on a metal pan. Very nice. The cake needs to cool fully to come out cleanly. Also lots of grease or parchment paper helps. This also explains the crumbling frosting problems. Looks absolutely delicious though! I love seeing the layers and what you did with the praline. I'm so sorry for how long this comment is! You put a lot of work into this and I wanted to do it justice.

Have you got the official recipe book now? Would love to hear a kind of a reflection on how you interpreted the recipes vs how they were adapted to the cookbook. Or a review of the book, or something. I know, I haven't watched the winter episode yet, but I'm saving it for a chill relaxing moment and I'm short on those for now xP I did the pumpkin soup from the cookbook yesterday, and it came out really good! Even though the seasonings were different from the usual nutmeg etc, and there was no dairy or similar in the soup, just drizzled on top, it was very hearty.

I've been looking forward to this so much! Great job! The whole series has been great, will definitely watch again! Would you say that cooking so many different recipes has given you new skills? And did you discover new recipes or food combinations you would actually make in your daily life?
@uselessgamestuff2 ай бұрын
Thank you! I wouldn't say it gave me new skills as I adapted recipes to my existing skills, but I'm definitely faster and more accurate when cooking now. The Tom Kha soup was the big discovery that I have made multiple times since
