Love the tutorial. As far as grounding goes, can you use any type of stainless steel sheet of metal. Recommend any if so?

How does it not set the paper on fire?
@crockettsgarage2648
@crockettsgarage2648 6 ай бұрын
it basically IS setting the paper on fire. It is electrically "Zapping" through the paper. That zap, burns a hole through the paper. The paper is sitting on a conductive metal backing. Which means that it has no source for air to gain access and continue the burn.

Where do they sell these? So cool. My dad used to use one when he painted on hot air balloons

Big screen TV.....Google images..( Or any other source )...tracing paper and tape...Tape panels together to get desired size....Tape tracing paper to screen, and trace desired image, sign, lettering, etc.......Tracing allows for sharper, more detailed templates.......Traced image can then be transferred to anything......I've been doing this for years. It's cheap, and gives great results......You can do this right now, no special tools required.......

@@lexflex81 I dont know anyone who dosent have at least a 46" screen...You just need basic for this, not plasma or 4k hd.....The results are great, and if you need actual perforation for using a chalk/powder bag, you can go over the image lines with a dressmakers dritz wheel....You end up with the same results, but it's easier, sharper, more detailed image, and most people have what they need to do this right now, without buying a pounce machine....I'm pretty sure a dritz handle with different size wheels is quite a bit cheaper than a pounce machine..

I wonder if this can be equipped to a cnc machine?

Probably- I was thinking the exact same thing when I saw this. Repurpose a cheap laser engraver since there's almost no friction, then use lightburn to make the designs. It would be very similar to a laser engraver to plasma cutter conversion, there's quite a few videos of this kind of conversion if you do a search.

How do you do the image on excel so that it prints properly?
@crockettsgarage2648
@crockettsgarage2648 3 жыл бұрын
MS EXCEL if you put a picture in there, and then print. It will "tile" the print out to the different pages easier than any other program that I have found. If you have a projector and larger paper, this step is not needed. I just did it for a paper printed version on regular 8.5x11 paper.
