A Generation exemplified by a Selfless Achiever...and the New Generation of Selfish, Under-Achievers in one camera-shot. 'Selfies' matter more now.

Ovations are nice for veterans. Too bad applause doesn’t translate to monetary and psychological support. Your country should be ashamed.

I hate this American bullshit. How about the lady who has spent 30 years in the warehouse? This whole bullshit American thing of saying thank you for your service shits me. The people who feed the poor, who care for cancer patients, who treat people with depression etc, they deserve recognition. A bloke who signed up for war, doesn't deserve it because he got war! Most people want peace, and would never sign up for killing people. However, this guys humble reaction is worth looking up to.

Stupid little kids recording cause they’re on “TV” and not cause of respect. I was glad they finally stood up though.

And so he should get a standing ovation, thank you for your service. The younger generation don’t appreciate what veterans have done for the freedom they enjoy today. Just look at the two behind him.

Went to America around 8 years ago and one thing I really liked was that the airlines prioritised members of the armed forces and their families. People willing to serve should ALWAYS be shown this level of respect, going by what we see in the media now the younger generations don't have a clue.

National Guard is not the same as active military, just look at Bush and all that he didn't do. Hero? Not at all or even close. Taking the safe and easy way out is hypocritical.
