A brilliant demonstration of how a civil engineering career can help shape a more sustainable world. A privilege to have heard Rachel talk about her achievements! What a great female role model that the world of engineering and STEM should cherish.

Hi thank you for the interesting experiment. You start with 200ml of water and 20ml of conc HCl. If conc HCl is 11.3M, then when you mix the water and acid together you get a 1.027M solution. So for the purposes of this experiment, you can use 220 ml of 1M acid as your starting solution, which is much more user friendly for the less experienced

so essentially, particles move around randomly (in gases and liquids) because the invisible particles around them (like air/water) are moving around randomly too?

I have a doubt . 🤔 If the balloon is negatively charged and the plastic tinsel is neutral . When the baloon get close to the tinsel paper the positive charge will get attracted and negative charge will repelled then the tinsel paper will get attracted to baloon not repelled and stuck to balloon 🤔 isn't it ? Is it true ?

I don't know who you are but thank you for this video. I was having a hard time remembering a lot of this and was struggling to explain it to someone and this was helpful. Just noticed there were no comments even though it was posted 2 years ago and wanted to let you know it was helpful and appreciated.
