In the video 14.05 ..the question for prevalence for those without bladder cancer .The denominator b+d ..is it 594...then answer would b 42.9 %
@eHealthbyHarb2 жыл бұрын
Yes this is correct- thank you for the catch :)
@evelynlim62305 ай бұрын
Agree, initially I thought I made the mistake 😂 should be 255/ 594 = 42.92% by the way , the questions abit confusing. For this question, you should be more specific on doing this research in 2 different hospitals. I am a doctor, I found out its was abit confusing 🫤 initially. Obviously you can co lab same research in different areas, but , please mention earlier , especially for the exam questions

I appreciate that the math was worked out! It helps so much. I am however a little confused about the PPV. The video states that it is the proportion who tested + that do NOT have the outcome... however, I thought it was the proportion who tested + who DO have the outcome, therefore making it a true positive... I was just a little confused on that..
@eHealthbyHarb3 жыл бұрын
To clarify: Positive predictive value is the probability that subjects with a positive screening test truly have the disease. Negative predictive value is the probability that subjects with a negative screening test truly don't have the disease. Hope this helps! :)

Everything from A&P and immunology helped in understanding this. Your diagram with the immune response was so helpful. I always wanted to get a better understanding of how the vaccines worked using mRNA and it just all makes so much more sense now!

The mnemonics really helped with remembering the attenuated vaccines! Also really liked the visuals to learning about antigens.
