Nice video, good to see her back. Do you have any idea what the difference is between a 56xx and a 66xx?

Not a lot, there were 200 built so ran in the 5600-5699 and 6600-6699 number ranges.

I believe the 66XX were all built in Newcastle by Armstrong and Whitworth - though I could be wrong. Same design as a 56XX, just built elsewhere.

Amazing and good collection of footage here, really enjoyed. Be good if this railway in future involved a permanent big steam engines for future like they have with building locomotives in their work shed? At the same size as City of Wells & Sir Keith Park. Heard the railway are hoping to make end buffers & passing loop much more longer to fit both these big sized steam locos in so they no longer have to rely on x3 steam / diesel loco's in service. Can have it all on x2 steam / diesel trains services. Including maybe a passing loop at Eridge, but I guess this could just be a rumour or could be facts? Not sure? But hoping this is what is happening in future? But anyways, cheers for video. 😀👍
