Full mechanics: For the first 1-2 seconds they appear on the stage, they have no mechanics active and can be killed very easily if you've done the stage before and know when/where they spawn. See 34-32 video about 10 seconds in for example. This can only be done when they come in from the sides as enemies coming in from the top come in outside of view. After those first 1-2 seconds, they become immune to all damage except distributed until they come to a complete stop and blink red a few times. Once the blinking stops, they lose their invulnerability but gain a similar mechanic to mirror container in that you're only allowed to hit them with one single bullet/instance of damage. If they don't die from it, they become invulnerable again and begin bouncing around attacking you for a little while until they come to a complete stop again, at which point the invulnerability fades and you can try to kill them again, repeating forever until either you die or they do. I say "instance of damage" because even non bullet damage like D's tiny amount of burst damage counts and will set them off. If you completely ignore them during their first vulnerable phase and never hit them with any damage, eventually (about 7 seconds) they will suicide into you. They have the exact same "red charge and then blink a few times" animation that all suicide enemies have before they attack which makes it easy to predict and dodge. In fact you can see them start this animation almost immediately after the first red blinking stops (that signals their vulnerability). I say "first" vulnerable phase because if you've ever hit them at all, they no longer suicide during future vulnerable phases. Instead they stop moving for only about 1-2 seconds and then immediately turn invulnerable and attack you again regardless of whether you hit them anymore. The ideal strategy to deal with them is to just completely ignore them and let them kill themselves but this is usually impossible. Second best is to let BScarlet's distributed damage kill them through their invulnerability. She has to be able to 2 shot them otherwise they'll get damage in and you'll die. Lastly is to treat it like Mirror Container, cover everyone, and then have Alice or Red Hood 1 shot them. Alice is easy because you can take your time to make sure you're on the core but RH is tough because you have to be perfectly accurate right away to get a core hit and there's risk of the fat beam causing splash damage and setting off the others, making her not viable at all in certain situations where they clump up.

For some reason this boss seems to always choose the same targets in the same order every time with very slight minor variation. For me, there were 2 "scripts" he would follow which I could determine early on based on who he decided to target first.

Yeah its the same exact thing. They try to suicide if you don't attack them at all for a certain amount of time.

Its the same way you dodge any other projectile. Just change from shooting to cover, or vice versa before it lands. It depends on which one you were in when it got launched and in this fight its probably shooting, so you just need to take cover. If you're doing that, it may be because its hitting Crown's shield that comes up when you burst with her. It counts as a physical object, and the ball explodes if it hits anything physical other than the ground. That's why I wait to do my burst until it hits the ground, and from then on I always destroy it because I can no longer dodge it due to her shield always being up.

Yeah the challenge stage was pretty hard. You only saw the successful attempt, not all the failures before it.

Only 3 skills like normal. Red Hood's shows up twice due to the way her burst works. Her burst skill is called "Red Wolf", but if you use it for burst 1 or 2 it activates a different effect which also shows up in the list. In the case of using it as a burst 1 like here, its called "Beast Cage". Beast Cage has a white color instead of orange to show that its a secondary effect of a burst, not the primary.

The mode shown in the video (Simulation Overclock) is one that heavily restricts your team in certain ways and it changes the rules every few months. For example, this season you're forced to bring 2 SMG users, 2 Tetra Nikkes, 1 Elysion, 1 Missilis, and the bosses are immune to everything except for electric damage. All other modes have no restriction, so what you see used in this mode is going to be wildly different from the normal meta. For the real meta, you can ignore their in game roles. Some supporters and defenders do more damage than most attackers. A normal meta team will usually contain at least one sniper or rocket launcher user since they generate the most burst energy and one "reduce burst cooldown" character (see Liter for example). The team will typically have 2 buffers (burst 1 and 2), and 2 dps (burst 3). The last slot is flex and is usually another buffer, but sometimes is dps, healer, etc depending on the situation's need.

Probably going to use Rouge/Crown/Cinderella/Ein/SAnis but depends on if I can get Rouge in pulls. However I'm sitting on a stash of 1500 blue tickets (don't ask) so when Grave's banner goes away hopefully I can get Rouge and more Ein copies.

@@Gink01 Don't know, I tried it for a bit at 856k and everyone does 0 damage when the defense barrier goes up.

I took a break from the game to work on a Nikke related project. Its almost finished now and also I wanted to try out Cinderella on crystal chamber.
