Thank you! I already raised a shiba but it was my ex's dog and now I'm planning to buy one myself! I'd really love to have two of these dogs in future so even now this video is really helpful.

Yes but are u willing to throw thousands at vet bills for dogs with health issues bec of non reputable breeder greedily creating sub par animals for profit & not caring about extending good gene lines of the breed?

How did your get your Shiba to be so cooperative?
@abujagall2 ай бұрын
I've had my Shiba for a year and - extremely sweet and adorable for the most part. He basically acts like a cat when it comes to being a loner when he wants to be 😂 however I had this condition as a kid where my blood sugar would drop for no reason why I'd be sleeping and a few months ago it started up again and the only reason why I knew this is because in the middle of the night for three nights in a row my Shiba kept waking me up by getting right in my face and making weird noises at me well sometimes pawing at me. I'm thinking he wants to go outside so I try to take him out but he doesn't want to go so then I try to go back and lay down and lo and behold here he comes and he tries to do it again. So then I go to give him water and he still has water in his bowl. Then I noticed that no matter where I go in the house he kept following me and for some reason he kept being very close to my feet. Then I tried sitting down instead of laying down and he wouldn't scream but he just kept pawing at me then I thought wait a minute they say dogs can sense of something's up their owner so I don't know if this is very common with sheba's but I went to go check my sugar and it was dropping so I had to get something in me otherwise it was going to keep getting lower. After I got something in my system and after I did that he was just chilling out next to me on the couch. Want to lay back down and he was happy and content and I think he knocked out before I did. Again don't know if this is common with these dogs but with mine ever since that incident that's his way of letting me know I need to check my sugar.

I had a Shiba Inu for around 13 years - our daughter gave it to us when she couldn't handle her any more (she was in college). My wife and I loved the dog - it was perfect for us. She was our first and only dog. I miss her a lot. Her personality was amazing.

Thank you for this video! There’s a breeder here in AZ they have a cream shiba boy who’s 8 weeks old. As I’m only 23 and work from home talked with the breeder awhile and was able to answer all my questions. The original price was 2500 but after I said it’s higher than I had expected they said since I chatted with the owner and thought I’d be a good fit for the dog she dropped the price to 1800. In your opinion do you think there is anything I should be wary of or do you think my long conversation with the owner made here truly want to drop the price so much for me as a new dog owner and explaining my story on why I wanted a shiba. Thank you very much any info is much appreciated.

I would be kind of wary that they dropped the price. Usually, Shiba puppies are $3,000-,$3,500. The best and easiest way to find out your breeder is reputable is if they’re part of the AKC Breeder of Merit. I know that there’s only 1 Arizona breeder that has that badge.

The puppy needs a good home reguardless, if you're gonna be that home for them, then get the pup.

I found an amazing deal where I could get 2 cute doges for 1k usd. The only thing is they'd be 9 week old puppies "brothers" at the same time, because of your last mentioned reason, do you think I should pass on this amazing priced opportunity?

I have a six-month Shiba. Right now in the summer, the dog is shedding hairs like crazy. Is something wrong?
@myfirstshibainu10 ай бұрын
Shibas do shed quite a bit - sometimes more than usual. As long as you don't see any other skin issues I don't think something is "wrong" - though if you are worried, I'd recommend a quick check up with your vet.

We went to a dog rescue looking for another dog when we came across our Shiba Inu Puppy. We spent time with her and fell in love and decided to adopt her. We were told she was rescued from a unethical breeder/puppy mill. Adoption fee was $550 We make sure to let people know she is a rescue. She is beautiful to us but she doesn't look like the breed standard.

Your channel and website has helped me out so much as a first time Shiba Inu owner! One thing I will say though is expensive in my experience did not always equal a reputable breeder. When I was researching Shiba Inu pups I came across a breeder that was an “AKC member” and even had photos of the mom and dad to prove it was pure breed. However, the guy was very unprofessional when it came to communicating along with being very short and irritated when I asked too many questions. He asked for a down payment of $400 and $3000 to fully purchase the Shiba Inu puppy. He kept rescheduling times for me to come and check out the puppy giving all sorts of excuses and when he finally had a set time, it was only a time frame of thirty minutes. The guy just seemed like a novice breeder and I took my money elsewhere. Thank god I did because after searching online again I was lucky enough to find a breeder that was a million times better. The guy answered my questions in full, was very polite as well as very professional. He was eager to share as much information as he could and when something came up the day I was going to see the pup he rescheduled to a time that worked best for both of us. Just an amazing experience as a whole and it was only a down payment of $100 and final balance of $2200. This is obviously in my amateur experience although I think it does go to show not every breeder that asks for $3000 and over is always the best choice.

Any chance you found the breeder in Northern California? If so, can you hook it up with the name of the place you got it from?
