Y’all acting like it’s the whole song if you listen it’s really the hook part that Drake took which to me is not a big deal. I’d be more concerned if it was the whole song or the verses. And of course the performance Drake has a better presence on the track than Vory like Chris Brown said “they can write it but who can sing it like me?”. Vory doesn’t have a problem with Drake using part of his song who are to be mad on his behalf. Look at what that did to Quentin Miller’s career. If whoever wrote it is fine with the arrangement i say leave it alone.

The hook or the flow since you don’t seem to know is the hardest thing to find when writing hip hop this is like having 90% of the work handed to you all he had to do is change something’s like shooter for nigga which now that we’ve heard the reference track was a stupid change for a song about mob ties shooter hits harder.

@@SatanaelKurusu bruhh, there’s like 3 or 4 similar words in both versions . this is the music making process . look up the recording session for “lucifer” by jayz & kanye west . kanye lays down a verse, & flow. jay comes back with his verse, and uses kanye’s flow. even uses kanye’s line “murder captitol, where we murder for capitol.” Am i gonna say kanye wrote for jayz? nahh. that’s just the process . jay also used 2pac’s flow, and cadence on “bonnie & clyde”. even took pacs lyrics “all i need in this life of sin, is me and my girlfriend.” it’s the same shit…people wildn’. but ofcourse, it’s “cool” to hate drake .

Yes and there's so many ways to look at him. Which is an admirable trait itself. If you accept the fact that he's definitely from a different community and comes off as soft, you can still appreciate how hard he went as a square. And every man can relate to being a square even the toughest guys. We are all just projecting what we want ourselves to be and all his efforts are on display. Which can be perceived as cringey but in the grand scheme of things. He's succeeded. Not to forget he did bring to life his own city that wasn't paid attention to culturally too much. There's so many guys from mediumor small cities that still have a sense of greater destiny. Drake is just a fucking dude that shits like everyone else that's why his efforts to be so perfect is an art in itself.

And honestly I'm starting to think the hood and these tough and low end places respect drake more than mid class hipsters because they accept who he is and are fully aware AND still appreciate his effort and his admiration of the hood culture which his real dad is from. Where as Kendrick has risen to develop imposter syndrome which the mid class relates to more because of their ambivalent position in society. Poor people don't have time to feel imposter syndrome and are still fully aware of the concept and that's why drake's lack of imposter syndrome is awe inspiring in a way. A sort of way of not bitching out and being unapologetic in invading a culture you like and attempting your best to contribute to it although you can never get rid of the Canadian twang or zestiness. It's heart warming to a degree if you look at it a certain way

There’s a lot of pop artists and R&B artists that get written for, but to claim Hip Hop, you have to write your own raps from your own experience and perspective. You can’t claim MC and have other writers writing for you. It’s like calling yourself a book writer, but you had a real writer put your thoughts into perspective. You have a book, but you’re not an author. Drake is very skilled and talented and makes very amazing music. They frame him as Hip Hop, but he’s really not.
