I got myself that DIY kit and soldered everything up following the video. But when I start chrome with the programmer page, connect the Daisy via the USB-cable, which was send with the kit, pushing first the boot button and hold it, press the reset button aswell and release both i can't find the entry of the Daisy in the window which opens when i press the 'connect' button in chrome. If I unplug and replug the Daisy there is a second red light flashing on the chip and I can find an entry named 'Daisy Seed Built in' in chrome. But with that selected the 'Program' button on the page is greyed out and isn't working. Any idea how i can solve this? I think this can't have anything to do with the soldering, as this was my first attempt on this craftship, can it? Don't know if I did a sufficient job there.

Hey, it seems that your Daisy is not recognised in boot mode. Please email us at [email protected] or join on Discord to ask there. Alternatively , you can reply to the order confirmation email you’ve received. We’ll figure it out together!

Nick (or anyone), can you comment on what difference there is between the way this synth generates feedback sounds and the way the Make Noise Mimeophon does? It sounds very similar- if you check out Loopop’s tutorial on the Mimeophon, he provides a breakdown of its approach
@NM-tm4dzКүн бұрын
(The Mimeophon does have that nice microtuning input, too, that allows v/oct tuning of the feedback)

Does the daisy seed component come soldered like in this video or do I have to solder that on as well? I just ordered the DIY kit today!
@SynthuxAcademy3 күн бұрын
Hey, sorry for the confusion. I started the video after the Daisy is installed, but it comes separately and you’ll need to solder it. Here is a tutorial how to do that: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aXm7YXtpa8qBlaMsi=7XQqsDan2761RKqj And: kzbin.info/www/bejne/f53Fk62DidFsg6csi=tFjuGJ1sW8iMjbOb Enjoy! Super interesting session! I think I'd definitely put the delay in the loop since it's pitch shifting. Would be cool to try in an alternative firmware. Audrey III needs more I/O :) Thanks for sharing!
@CinematicLaboratory6 күн бұрын
Just ordered one, this is right in my alley and I'd love to make a video about it. Quick question, the format seems to be 3U. Would it fit in a euorack row and if so, can it be powered by a eurorack case? If not, it may be a cool idea to turn it into a module like a Moog tabletop so it's easier to hook up with other FX.
@SynthuxAcademy6 күн бұрын
Hey, thanks! It’s indeed 3U, and it can be powered through the rails, but the output is still line level. If you email me I can add the Eurorack connector for you in the back. Roey at Synthux.academy

I've got an Audrey II coming. It will be a great addition to my collection of small electronic instruments I use for improvisation. As a modular synth builder and user, I'm very interested in the Audrey II signal flow diagram. The Body function is obscure, though. From this talk I gather it is another delay between the filters and the feedback input to the Karplus Strong delay. If I can get onto Discord, I'll have some questions. I'm going to play around with my Eurorack modular to try and create a similar signal flow by patching a KPS oscillator, distortion, reverb, filtering and a feedback delay. Every signal flow diagram gives me ideas.
@SynthuxAcademy16 күн бұрын
I agree, the Body function is quite confusing. Please do join discord to ask more about it. Nick is also there.

Nice an all, yet the TE price point seems a tad ridiculous. I'd pay maybe around 100$ for a kit & only slightly more assembled (as assembly is sooo simple)... Good luck though

Hey, thanks for the feedback. Pricing is tricky, especially when you’re tiny like us. But, Audrey II is completely open source. You can build it on the Daisy for around €30. The code is available on our GitHub repository. Enjoy!
